The first iPhone was unveiled by Steve Jobs, then CEO of Apple, on January 9, 2007,[1] and released on June 29, 2007. The 5th generation iPhone, the iPhone 4S, was announced on October 4, 2011, and released 10 days later.

With the Android phones,Blackberry,Windows phones to compete with the Iphone.It's been around 5 years,5 generations...

In 2003, the more commonly known smartphone BlackBerry was released, which supports push email, mobile telephone, text messaging, Internet faxing, Web browsing and other wireless information services. It is an example of a convergent device. The original BlackBerry devices [release in 1999], the RIM 850 and 857, used the DataTac network.

Been around 13 years and 28 different models.

I am torn on this one. I don't have an iPhone but they seem cool to me. Since I don't have one I can't really speak about it based on performance and can only base my opinion on perception. I think AT&T sucks but you aren't locked to them anymore so that doesn't factor in. I also don't care for the vibe given off by some iPhone users. I really can't explain it other than to say I feel they are "keeping up with the Jones".

I'm gonna rate it cool just based on concept and nothing else.

For me Phish,really hit some of my thoughts...I feel it has lost a lot of it's "cool" factor,for a multitude of reasons,and added to the fact they're everywhere,so many people have them...See enough of them,I start thinking douchey facebook tool.

I see the Ipad,carrying the "cool" banner for apple products...Sidebar,have the Ipad,and Iphone together = Fanboy "Cool" Lose the Cool banner in my eyes...
