I went to Vegas for the weekend

Hello everyone. This isn't something I had brought up before but I just took a trip to Las Vegas to compete in the American Poolplayers Association National Championships. I didn't play nearly as well as I had hoped. I wanted to post an action shot since I haven't had any pictures of me come up in a while.



I wish I knew how to size it bigger for everyone. I guess I could provide the link to the site where you can make it bigger but I doubt anyone really cares.

This was my first Vegas trip. I must say it is a cool place but I really don't see why people fall in love with it so much. I would definitely return and think I would likely rent a car next time. I didn't bother this time as I was really there to focus on pool and not the city itself. The strip is so long that you really need transportation other than foot if you really want to see it.

Does anyone ahve any cool Vegas stories? Do you love it, did you hate it, do you feel similar to me?

I wasn't a big winner in pool or my limited gambling action. I was told first timers are usually the lucky ones but I didn't get it.

That's pretty cool....I only go to Vegas to gamble.....as a frequent visitor to Vegas I love the place.

If you're just gonna be on the main strip buy the pass for the monorail thing.

I was toward the northern end of the strip (The Riviera) and the monorail didn't have a convenient stop up there. The closest was the Sahara but that casino and station are closed.

I just looked up their map and I guess there was another fairly close station off the strip going toward the convention center that I did not know was back there. I could have used that I guess.

I find Vegas boring, BUT I do not gamble at all. There are other American cities that I have far more fun in. San Diego (I want to move there), New York, San Francisco, New Orleans.

I love Vegas.  I go once a year.  Gambling/Boozing/Show over about 3 days.  If you go to Vegas, you really got to go see a show -- there's stuff there that's so good/funny/outside of what you see anywhere else.

I find that about 3 days is all I can handle, though.  A couple of days in Vegas is like a week anywhere else.
