My wife wanted to buy something off craigslist, so I told her I would go get it. The catch? It was in the ghetto. No problem, I went, picked the item up, paid the person, and left. However, as I was on my way out, I stopped at an intersection. I heard a woman yelling HEY! I didnt think she was yelling at me, but then I saw her outside my window looking at me. I also saw a truck pulling up behind me. She said "PLEASE help me! That guy's gonna kill me!" I unlocked the door, and said "Get in." I could see from the dome light that she had been beaten. Her face was swollen, and she was bleeding. I could also hear the guy yelling. I made a right turn on red, and asked her where she needed to go. The guy in the truck turned the opposite way when the light turned green. She started giving me directions, and I asked her why she didnt call the police. She said "Because I was tricking with that guy!" I said "You don't need to tell them that!" She said that the cops knew her for prostitution.

So, a minute or two later, we get to the house she wanted to go to, and she gets out. She says "Thank you so much for helping me!" I said you're welcome. She then tells me to stop by sometime and she would "give me a freebie" to say thank you. I told her that I was married. Then, she says "You know you like some extra pussy!" I said "No thank you." She said "Thanks anyway, but if you change your mind, you know where I'm at." I told her to be safe, and I drove off.

W-o-w!

Good job helping her.  The guy in the truck is lucky you hadn't finished your training to become a cop.  Otherwise he might be the one tricking for the big inmates.

Holy shit! Wow. Good for you helping her though. I would have kept driving and called the cops. I NEVER let strangers in my car.

I was thinking about that...If I was in a police car, I doubt she would have ran up to me. Still, tricking or not, I'm sure the cops would have gone after that guy for the assault.

That took some balls to let her in your car like that.  Really glad they weren't just trying to pull a fast one on you.  You definitely did the right thing.  Anyway, you can put bet that your karma bank is nice and full now.

Now all you have to do is steam clean and disinfect the entire vehicle, ha ha......

Good for you man, I can't say I would have done the same thing.  There are all kinds of scammers out there, that lady could have had a gun and not been in trouble at all.  Glad it worked out, though.

Agree with badger, though, you might want to just drive your car into a lake and get a new one.

Hope the craigslist buy was worth it!

LOL!

The wife got a night stand that matches the rest of the bedroom furniture for 10 bucks.

As many of you know I grew up next to the projects in Sanford. As such, I drove through the hood almost every day. I was very accustomed to drug dealers and prostitiutes but if you didn't know what you were looking at, they didn't just jump right out at you. Ok somethimes the dealers did but that's a diferent story.  Well one day I see this relatively cute white girl walking down the road in an all black part of town. This was around 1987 so I was about 17 or 18. There realy wasn't a whole lot of interracial going on back then so she obviously she stood out to me. Being young and naive I turned around and asked if she needed a ride... thinking she must have broken down or something but boy was I wrong.   She turned me down and we kept bantering back and forth and after maybe the third time she said " is there anything I can do for you?" I busted out laughing as the embarrassment overcame me. I had no idea she was a prostitute so I said thanks but I have to run and moved on. I half think she must have been a cop but who knows? Anyways it was pretty funny.

Getting offended by something you see on the internet is like choosing to step in dog shite instead of walking around it.

^^ I've probably ran into dozens of them in my neighborhood, and was too stupid to realize that they were prostitutes...I remember a bunch in California (Circa.1993),but they were a bit more obvious, than they are here.

I don't think I would have helped,My mom had an eerie situation a few years ago.My mom was in her truck getting ready to go to work, and some woman started banging on her window,I need help,I need help. She has had this sort of thing happen before, usually they're drunk, wanting money,or a ride.My mom told me of the incident, and I like here thought,it could be a meth head,drunk,etc,etc.....The woman was murdered, found dead in her house like 3 nights later, she happen to live like two blocks away...

This strange shit happens to my Mom a lot though...It's always the bad stuff, not like she's the 1 millionth customer, you get free whatever for life...

So good job frimp, but I probably wouldn't have done it...

I'm gonna bet she was, otherwise she would have gotten into the car thinking the ride offer was a proposition. If she was a cop that isn't enough incrimination.
