Naannee very impressed with Tannehill

From the Miami Herald

Because Dolphins rookie Ryan Tannehill knows more about Mike Sherman’s offense than Matt Moore and David Garrard, Moore admits “it’s a little awkward” that “if you have a question, you ask the rookie. But Ryan’s been great with that.” Receiver Legedu Naanee was so impressed with how Tannehill looked on field in recent days (“puts the ball in the right spot”) that he said, “I wouldn’t be surprised if any of the three wins the job. It’s very, very close” so far. Philbin cracked that Tannehill knows the offense better than he does.

I'm with the crowd that thinks Tannehill won't be the opening day starter but will be starting by season's end.

No he probably won't be the opening day starter. But by middle of the season I could see him under center.

Hopefully Nannee won't be with the team long enough to find out who the starter will be come opening day.

^^Lol. I was thinking Nanee needs to worry about even making the team, not who is starting at other positions. -EK

And we care what this guy thinks, why?

He is on the team and catching passes from the various QB's on our roster  Roll Eyes  He can give a little very early  insight into this 3-way QB battle.

It was just a nice little blurb I came across.  Never said you (or anyone else) should read that much into it, as I didn't. Took it at face value for what it was. I figured if the Miami Herald felt it was worth running it was worth noting at least.

^^ yes, agree.  Face value.

Jay Fiedler was a great QB in practice.

Jay Fiedler was clearly better than two of the guys on the field, and Tannehill is an unknown.  So he might not be the best point of comparison.

I would rather hear from practice squad hopeful who is catching the guys than arm chair QB who is looking to make himself relevant but that's just me.

Don't get me wrong as I do read training camp reports from fans. I just take it for what it's worth just as I do this guys opinion.

If Naanee is on the team he probably drops more of their passes than he catches.  But at least they're trying to get players around Tannehill.

Stephen Ross reporting he expects Moore to be the starter this year. Ross>Naanee. -EK

The only thing,I take from any the comments about Tannehill,so far....Even if Philbin,Ireland are completely wrong about him, everyone seems to think pretty highly of him when talking to him...

I'm also concerned him knowing the playbook so well, puts extra pressure on him...

I'm not buying Naanee having any keen insight into how the team plans on using Tannehill...

I don't think there is extra pressure on him. I mean he was picked 8th overall, he has pressure. Not much extra pressure can be added when you are picked that high.
