Ben Volin was tweeting about it earlier...
@BenVolinPBP: The #Dolphins would be a good fit for Hard Knocks, as well, particularly with an intriguing three-way QB competition

@BenVolinPBP: New York Post writes today that Hard Knocks hopes to have a team by next week. Wouldn't be shocked if #Dolphins are in the mix

Absolutely!  I would order HBO for it.  Our team has a lot of likeable guys, so as long as they don't hound Ross and Ireland too much, I think it would be good for the team.

Hard knocks is careful not to reveal much by way of strategy, so I wouldn't worry about that aspect too much.

I voted yes. I don't thnk we are gaining anything on our team now by being secretive and would love the added exposure for my own purposes.

I like Doc,would order HBO to watch...

I could see a scenario...

Where Ireland would want it,it might shine a more positive light on him.(I honestly don't think it matters too much to him)

Phibin, might be reluctant being a first time Head coach in the NFL,it could shine a a bad light on him....

I don't know...

The Marlins are going to be on The Franchise.  I am considering buying Showtime just for that.  I would definitely buy HBO if they put the Dolphins on Hard Knocks.

At this point, could it possibly hurt the Dolphins' image?

Personally, I'd love to watch it.

I'd love to do it.  The Dolphins have a turd image.  They would benefit from having people follow them a little bit.

YES! YES! YES!

The Dolphins image and brand is  so badly beaten and bruised they need to use a show like this as an infomercial. Show that Ireland isn't a bad guy. Show that Ross isn't some clown (which might be tough as he keeps putting his foot in his mouth) to show that Miami is a good place to play and remind and educate people that the Dolphins are a good franchise with good people running it. Show that Joe Philbin is a coach you want to play for!

Most kids have grown up with the Dolphins always being bad, they don't know anything of the glory days or them ever being good. Most players only thing of the bad things these days when you talk about the Dolphins. The "is your mother a hooker" or Ross and his dumb comments. The Dolphins need HARD KNOCKS more than Hard Knocks needs the dolphins. It would be a huge PR success for this franchise.

I wrote on this topic  back in March and I stand by every word of it still to this day http://www.dolphinstalk.com/2012/03/why-miami-dolphins-need-to-be-on-hbo.html

^^^ You do realize that hard knocks is not an "infomercial."

The producers specifically edit the show to create drama and problems.  That to make the show more interesting to the other 31 fan bases the hosted team comes off looking as bad as possible.

Oh please, the league and teams have used it as an infomercial for years. The NFL runs it through NFL FILMS and they don't let no bad things over the air. They are protective of the team and the NFL brand. When was the last time you saw anything amazing on Hard Knocks?! Almost never!

They edit it of course but usually its some uplifting "Rocky" type story of some unsigned free agent beating the odds to make the roster and get that final roster spot. Or some old fart guy over the hill (Hugh Douglas comes to mind) who is getting cut and his career is all but over.  The "drama" from Hard Knocks is very mild at best. Even the "REVIS" story-line from a couple years ago was nothing big.  That was going down with or without the hard knocks cameras there.

Hell Hard Knocks made Mike Brown of the Bengals seem all warm and fuzzy and he is the worst person/owner in the league! He is an awful person from all the stories you read about him. Yet through Hard Knocks they made him come off as a nice old man just trying to win and follow his dad's legacy!

I put "not sure" because I wouldn't want them to be on this year; maybe another year where the team isn't floundering.
