Yeah the media doesn't already knock every move the Dolphins make, great idea, give'em more ammunition.  Just Brilliant!

And another +1. The off the field idiocy for the past three years has already been more than enough. Keep this team out of public view, besides the actual games, until it can have at least a .500 season. -EK

I want Hard Knocks as far away from this team as possible.  I don't care how good they get.  Every year it's "who's gonna be on Hard Knocks?" and every year the team that ends up on Hard Knocks ends up sucking.  And not just like oh lost in the wild card sucking like sucking like big floppy german donkey penis.

Uh, the last 2 teams on HARD KNOCKS, The Jets went to the AFC Championship game. Cincy went 10-6 and won the AFC North.

Just sayin  Wink

um, the Jets suck, and the Bengals might be the most underachieving team in Pro Football the last decade or so.  If those are the two best possible results I don't want anything to do with them.  It's still a bad idea and I don't want to be associated with it.

According to this morning's Barry Jackson column in the Miami Herald the Fins are among a handful of teams being considered

"The Dolphins are among a handful of teams that have been receiving consideration to appear on HBO’s Hard Knocks training camp series."

I am guessing Miami won't do it with a rookie head coach but I would have no problem if they did sign up for it this year. For the Fins to be considered I would guess that means they have talked to the league about it and given them some sort of interest back possibly. We will see. The only team that wants it seems to be Jacksonville and the fact that the NFL hasn't just taken them tells me they really don't want Jacksonville unless they are forced to take them! lol

But that's not what you said.  You said, "every year the team that ends up on Hard Knocks ends up sucking."  CIN had their best year in a long time and the Jets had arguably their 2nd best year since the merger.  That does not lend credence to your claim.

Ok well maybe this will.

a 10-6 team that loses in the wildcard round sucks.
an 8-8 team that backs into the AFC championship game and loses sucks.

There is no second.  Second sucks.

The Dolphins have been so bad for so long that most Miami fans and probably ALL of the ownership/front office would cut off their left arm for a Division Title or an AFC Championship berth at this point!

I am on board with the Hard Knocks team. We don't have an in-depth Dolphins show in Central FL. It would be nice to see them transition into the "new regime".

Last season we had an hour of nothing but Dolphins news every Sunday.

via Twitter:

"Coach Philbin opened his press conference by announcing the team will be participating in HBO's Hard Knocks."

and later

Philbin on Hard Knocks: "We thought it was in the best interest of the organization to do it at this time."

Looks like Miami WILL be on Hard Knocks.  I love this.  I can't wait to get to see the players "behind the scenes" and learn a thing or two from the new coaching staff.  Hopefully Mr. Ross will stay as far away from the camera as possible.

EDIT:  The first episode of Hard Knocks will air Tuesday, August 7 at 10 pm ET (also per Miami's official twitter)
