according to Omar Kelly the owner Stephen Ross will have a voice in whether Chad stays or goes. If I were to guess that would probably mean Chad is gone. Chad Johnson with his one strike might pay for all of Brandon Marshall's sins in recent years. Ross is very image conscious these days (stopping with celeb owners, getting rid of the orange carpet, saying Brandon was gone anyway if Chicago didn't accept the trade) . He has changed since he first entered the NFL.

Per Omar: However, I'm told by a team source the Dolphins organization won't make a decision regarding Johnson until they speak with him, conduct their own investigation, and discuss the issue with team owner Steve Ross.

This bothers me.  Ross needs to step back and let Ireland and Philbin handle the football side of this team.  Apparently he still hasn't learned.

For crap like this I got no problem with Ross being involved. This isn't a "football decision." Ross owns the team and its players actions are a reflection on him and his family!

Just like when Vick signed with Philly Jeffrey Lurie and his wife sat in and made the final call because the players actions/past is a reflection on them as people.

This is not a football decision by any means, if it were its no debate he stays. This is about do you want someone who acts like this to be on your payroll.

So, either Chad assaulted his wife when he found out she was cheating on him(the receipt for the condoms was allegedly hers), or she is lying and hurt herself. Maybe for money, who knows?

If Chad is innocent, he shouldn't be allowed on the team without divorcing his wife. If he is guilty, then he should be gone.

Roberto Wallace replaced Johnson in the starting lineup at practice today.

Philbin said at his press conference this situation with Chad will be addressed "sooner rather than later" and "everyone is held to a high standard around here."

It's tough to predict what they will do, but if I were a betting man I would have to think those 2 quotes tell me they are leaning or have decided already on letting Chad go. Wouldn't shock me if they kept him, but those 2 quotes especially the first one of "sooner rather than later" tells me they really just want this over with and don't care to have the legal process play out or anything.

It's a good thing MIA traded away their Pro Bowl MVP WR for a bag of peanuts, or else they'd have a loudmouthed, lawbreaking troublemaker on the team.

Which they definitely do not want.

Screw Marshall!!!!!  We'll see how he does with the Bears...Huh??

IMO..with or without Johnson, this teams season rides upon the Defence's shoulders and a STRONG running game.....maybe not true to form of the New pass/happy NFL...but hopefully enough to get us 10 wins and see the playoffs once again!

According to Jay Glazer twitter
The Miami Dolphins have just released Chad Johnson, scouts cleaned out his locker
Again, for those who missed it, just reported #dolphins have just released Chad Johnson as a result of last nights ... http://tmi.me/vfgp0

Well that's all folks to the Chad Johnson experiment...

Per Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, this was Coach Philbin's decision and Ireland and Ross backed him unconditionally.  Name to watch now- Roberto Wallace

Sounds like a huge mistake to me.  He's far from the best in the league, but he was by far the best receiver on this team.

Apparently Coach Philbin disagrees.  Time to give the youngn's with upside a shot.
