^^^ The reference is to Les Brown, I'm assuming, who has NEVER played tight end.  He played basketball in college and receiver in high school.

My bad! Sorry

I don't see Les Brown as an NFL player periods. At any position

Yes, Les Brown.

They picked him up for his speed (and apparent good hands) but he can't block worth a lick.  So why drop him in at TE, other than there's a lot less competition there.

The evolution of the TE position, along with the game evolving from less ground an pound, has taken the emphasis away from blocking. Also almost making the FB postion almost non existent.

***Cough*COUGH** I could only pass block my way out of wet paper bag,if it was covered in shit and set on fire.**COUgh*Cough**I was a better run blocker than I ever let on,I knew how to do it,even enjoyed it to an extent. **COUGH** cough,***

I admit,I would be surprised to see Les Brown make the team....

Not trying to be a douche, but the only reason Les Brown is getting airtime is because of his story.  America loves the underdog, however he won't make this team.  MAYBE if they convert him to WR but then again there's like a dozen WR on this team as is

I agree. I would be surprised if Les makes the practice squad honestly.

Maybe.  But at least try him at reciever.  There maybe less emphasis on blocking at the tight end position, but most tight ends are still at least somewhat able to block.  This guy can't even keep his feet under him.

If they try him at WR and he can't block, who gives a shit?  I've never met a WR who can actually block.  They can lock arms with cornerbacks (most of whom have no interest in tackling) and keep them out of the play or wall them off.  So put him there and see if he can do that before we cut him and some other team with a fuckin brain who's watching this figures it out and turns the guy into a superstar.

^^ Not to mention its easier to block a 180-lb corner than a 280-lb DE or 240-lb LB

I would imagine he either doesn't have the hands or doesn't have the route running (quickness, as opposed to straight line speed) to play WR.

According to hard knocks he has both.  The clip of the position coach commenting on him in week 1 said he was great at all that he just couldn't block worth a fuck.

Nice to see Daniel Thomas not take his job seriously. Always late.  Some guys just flat out don't get it. I know they are young and in some cases just kids but jesus christ

I gotta tell ya, I know the o-line doesn't get any of the glory, but Hard Knocks has completely changed my outlook on Richie Incognito.  Once labeled as a hot head, committed stupid penalties and such, but he seems so old school.  He likes to have fun and bust the guys chops, but when it's practice time/game day he's all business.  Smash mouth, I have your back kinda player and that's an attitude I think Miami is lacking.  Some toughness.

I legit lol'd when I saw that

and how the show opened with him telling Tannehill not to "fuck up" his first start.  Stuff like that I feel needs to be said to motivate players.  I've definitely become a fan of Incognito....until the first "Holding, Number 68, Offense" I hear this season. ha
