Mixed Martial arts - (Copied straight from Wikipedia - ) is a full contact combat sport that allows the use of both striking and grappling techniques, both standing and on the ground, from a variety of other combat sports. The roots of modern mixed martial arts can be traced back to the ancient Olympics where one of the earliest documented systems of codified full range unarmed combat was utilized in the sport of Pankration. Various mixed style contests took place throughout Europe, Japan and the Pacific Rim during the early 1900s. The combat sport of Vale Tudo that had developed in Brazil from the 1920s was brought to the United States by the Gracie family in 1993 with the founding of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), which is the largest MMA promotion company worldwide.

I said "pretty cool".

I love the sport, but they still have a few rules things to get worked out.  I also don't like that it's not on TV more than it is, so it's harder to follow guys unless you're into watching at bars.  I'd love to have a small weekly show once a week on Showtime or something.  The thing that is uncool about it isn't the sport itself, it's the douchy "Tapout culture."

I went with seriously uncool. (I thought we couldn't discuss it until the vote was done.) I don't like watching guys pound the shit out of each other. Also, I hate ALL Tapout gear. Though it's an easy way to spot the douches.

Just because I like something doesn't make it "cool".  There is a fair amount of douchebaggery around the sport that needs to be addressed.  It will get better with age.

I'm sorry I guess I should have explained it better...I meant that only the voting results weren't going to be revealed,everyone was free to discuss their opinion on the subject.I wish there was more discussion,I might have voted differently...

I'm someone that really has no clear cut feeling for MMA either way....

Onto to how to proceed....
I am at a loss on how to decide this,re-open voting for a result,call it a wash,reset the vote with only fewer options to get a result...Anyone have Ideas?

I actually replied but my phone isn't "smart" so I couldn't vote in on the poll. I have since forgotten about the thread, but if you reopen and when I get to an actual computer, my vote will make it seriously uncool.
