For all who've been trying to find out Colts trade, I'm reporting the Colts have agreed to a trade for Fins CB Vontae Davis for 2nd rd pick

I guess Jason taylor also broke the news

We've totally sacrificed this year already, so why not get rid of our best defensive back.

We'll have a lot of early picks next year to rebuild with.

That second round pick will be like a late first if the Colts record is similar to last season

Interesting to see if Miami turns around and packages the 2nd round pick with another pick and try's to make a move ASAP for a Mike Wallace or Dwayne Bowe who are both disgruntled with their current teams. Just throwing it out there.

Either way Miami has 5 picks in the first 3 rounds next year. And will have amo to TRADE UP to possibly land a Robert Woods the WR from USC or stay put and stockpile talent. Miami has positioned themselves very nicely moving forward. This also means Nolan Carroll will need to step up bigtime as the 3rd CB.

Vontae was my favorite player on the team.  I am bummed!

He is a million dollar talent with a .10 brain. Major maturity issues with Vonate. Showing up drunk and not taking his job seriously. Another problem player is now gone. Philbin is cleaning house. How funny is it now that Vonate was laughing and giggling about being out of shape and "acting" like he wasn't tired.

Philbin has sent the message loud and clear with Marshall, Vonate, Ochco...you act like a fool, you won't play for Miami. It's just that simple.

He was still my favorite player and I am still bummed. I never saw a report of this drinking thing.

I did.  He showed up to practice with a hangover and got bitch slapped by Brandon Marshall.

Ireland, Philbin, and co. must be very confident that this team will make the playoffs in 2013.

Because if they don't, they will all be searching for work.

Ireland is made of teflon he has no worries. Ross loves him. I wish he would go but I ain't holding my breath because if it hasn't happened yet why should I think it will happen now? Especially since he is making trades for the future and not the now. He must know he is gonna be around and gotten some assurance from someone.  I think Philbin has at least 3 years if Tannehill shows progress as the years go on. I do get the feeling Ross wants some stability and doesn't want another search (and more rejections). I mean if Philbin goes 1-15 and then starts 0-7 or something yeah he won't survive but if he is just "bad" and like 6 wins and stuff he is safe for a while.

They had to blow it up and start over. They have. 5 picks in the first 3 rounds next year. IF they are bad this year (likely) they are Top 5 pick in Rd 1, maybe a team wanting a QB trades up and Fins can move down and stockpile more picks. Miami has put them in nice shape for the final week of next April.
