It seems to be about time to start making some predictions.  Feel free to add in context but be sure to throw out a record prediction.  Put your record prediction at the top if you add context.

My prediction...

4-12

Preseason has been rediculous.  Jake Long is injured.  Rookie at QB.  Minimal pass rush.  Traded one of our better corners.  Minimal experience at safety.  Major depth concerns.

5-11, 6-10 at best. Same concerns. -EK

7-9

Feeling optimistic.  Easy schedule, Jets & Bills both overrated, so I'm hoping we win a couple close ones this year.

4-12.             The best possible scenario is 6-10, but all the breaks would have to go our way.

No defense.  No receivers.  Rookie QB.  It's going to be a long year.  Can't wait for 2014, though. Cry

Dolphin's 6-10

NE wins the AFCE, go one and done in the playoffs.

Bills get a wildcard.

6-10 (while not good it isn't going to be as bad as the media is making it out to be, plus the schedule is not that tough.) Defense will keep this team in a lot of games and make us look respectable.

Gonna take another year. We have 20-25 guys in the final years of the deal. We will cut that dead weight next offseason and be a major player in free agency with $45mill to spend. We have stockpiled draft picks in the early rounds and another year of a Top 10 pick helps. Plus Tannehill will make his mistakes this season and better to get them out of the way THIS year.

I was going to say 4-12, but since a couple of you already laid claim to that one, I'm going to go with 5-11.    I'm bummed about it, but it is what it is.  At least I'm refraining from infuriating people by rolling out a "this once proud franchise" comment.   Wink

Yup.  With all the early draft picks in 2013, we will be expected to wait a year (or more) for them to develop, too.

With over $40 mill to spend in free agency next year we will get quick better in a few spots though as well.

Talking with my boy about their record this morning, 4-12 or 5-11, realistically.  Year away from seeing anything, re-building this year, alot of draft picks next year, all the other things mentioned above, etc.

As long as Tannehill shows that he can be an NFL QB and the team improves as the year goes on, I'm fine with that. I really am.  I'm not one to say the sky is falling after the O-fer preseason game, but I don't put alot of emphasis on these games.  Remember last year's 3-1 record and then getting steamrolled for over 600yds on Monday nite?

Hey, I think there's gonna be some close games, ones we lose by 3-7 pts.  I am going to say 5-11, with some luck going our way, maybe 7-9.  That's all you can hope for.

Pre season we're playing rope a dope.
