Reports are saying its for a seventh round pick.  Good move getting a draft pick for a player they were not going to keep.

The draft next year now looks like this:

1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7

Ireland better not screw this one up.

They don't have TWO 6th round picks they gave up one for Lamar Miller trade last draft.

And Miami is gonna part with some of those picks this weekend themselves

I was thinking Cook looked really good in that Dallas game.  Who else do we have as a backup that won't mess up snaps?

A seventh rounder is nothing to me.  Those guys rarely make the team or make any significant contribution.  They usually get beat out by rookie free agents.

if he was going to get cut anyway, then the 7th is better than nothing.  However, I agree that it is ALMOST worthless, unless its used as a sweetener with a higher pick to get a trade-up or something else.

Seriously, who else do we have that is any good as a backup?  Please don't say Incognito.  He would be fine as a full timer but I don't like him as a fill in.  He messes up to many snaps without the extra practice.
