4 turnovers, 24 points off.

Put this one down for a loss, and maybe try another quarterback in the second half, just for fun.

At the end of the year- after 16 games (which I doubt Tannehill will finish)- can I say THEN that I told you so about him? Shoulda gone after a receiver and drafted a QB next year. -EK

yeah, see ya in December then. Keep rooting for the Fins to lose. Fireman EK

P.S..if the preseason matters how come the Jets scored more TD's in 1 quarter than they did in the entire preseason! Sorta blows up your "preseason matters" stance

I didn't say it mattered- don't twist my words. I said throughout the preseason that Tannehill stares down his receivers and gets waaaaaay to many balls tipped at the line. I pointed out that this was a sign of things to come. And I was right. -EK

Did you watch Luck? Same thing happened to him. Damn near all rookie QB stares down receivers.

This is beyond a silly discussion. People expect rookie QB's to be Joe Montana come the 1st quarter of the 1st game.

a bright spark as a punt is returned for a TD.

Now can the defense, which has been SUPERB today, force another stop?

That's a weak excuse. You said it's a silly discussion because of what rookies do realistically vs. expectations. He pointed out a flaw in your argument. You can't now make excuses for the defense. Either way- it's off topic of the fact that Tannehill is not the solution at QB. I said it before they drafted him, throughout the preseason, and continue saying it. That doesn't make me not a Dolphin's fan. I want success for the team. I'm tired of them over-reaching on players and having to then act like they're better than they are because I'm a loyal "fan." As a fan I should be allowed to say, "this team stinks. As fans we deserve better. Every year I drive all over half the country for either a preseason or regular season game. I invest my time, money, and passion in the team." Pointing out that this week's flavor for Marino's replacement is no better than any of the rest doesn't make me less of a fan. NOT realizing it means your head's in the sand. -EK
