With last night being the final episode of Weeds it got me thinking about past series that had ended. The worst ones are the ones that get cancelled without any real feeling of closure but I still find myself feeling let down by ones who have a planned ending. I really was not impressed with the final episode of Weeds in the slightest. My favorite was probably the ending to MASH and my least favorite was Seinfeld.

What about you? Anyone watch Weeds? What are your historical favorite and lest favorite endings?

I did watch Weeds, and liked it very much at first and for several seasons, but I found Nancy to turn completely unlikeable.  It started with me almost admiring her and a tough chick put into a situation to survive and take care of her family.  Then that ballooned into her being a scumbag and a slut and a terrible mother, on top of it.  It made me less invested in the character and eventually I gave up.

I didn't mind the Seinfeld ending.  That show wasn't plot-based, so I think they did a fine job wrapping it all up.  Everyone hates it, but I don't know what they were expecting.

My favorite ending is The Shield.  It was an even story, from start to finish, with an ending that fit the themes of the show and tied directly to the first episode.

Everyone remembers the ending of Lost and states "I still don't understand the ending."

Moreover, I can't stand getting interested in a show and then having it cancelled before it reaches a conclusion.  This has happened numerous times in the past 2-3 years (V, The Event, Missing, etc).  I am worried that Revolution is the next in the long line of overhyped drama series that will get canned after getting people wrapped up in 1 season.

Sad thing is,most of the shows I think of ending...They just get canceled..Mainly a major network thing also, you know the show is in trouble when you have to start chasing it down...It was on Mondays @9pm,Then it moves to Weds. @ 7pm,then moves to Friday @8pm....

One I hated, that hasn't been mentioned Life on Mars, started out pretty good, then took an effed up right turn to the end...

I stopped watching Weeds because the season 2 ending was not the series finale.

The "recovery" from season 2's ending shattered my suspension of disbelief into tiny pieces.  She might as well have revealed herself to be one of the X-Men.

I call this "24 syndrome" because that was the first show I can remember that abused it; in the first season, when the daughter gets kidnapped like 3 times in one day, and in one of the escapes, she's in a car (but not really) that goes off a cliff, her mom sees the car explode, and then spontaneously develops amnesia.

If you want to tell me that you are a half-alien that can stop time by touching your fingers together, fine.  If you want to tell me that a man gets a newspaper from the future that tells him things that he can stop from happening, sure.  BUT DON'T EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE THAT A WOMAN IMMEDIATELY LOSES ALL HER MEMORIES BECAUSE SHE WATCHED SOMETHING BAD.

Spider is a big reason I stopped watching Weeds.I couldn't remember for the life of me who had talked about Weeds, and the disbelief about the story...I tried to continue to watch, but that post stuck in my head...It was lost for me...

It's killing Dexter for me too..

But that's ok...It's all good...

^^^ Sopranos.  I still think they left it like that because it's going to turn into a movie.  I also remember watching it twice because I originally thought that the cable had screwed up.

The hands down worst ending for any TV show had to be Cheers.  Not only was it over hyped and drawn out, it wasn't at all funny.

The way Cheers should have ended...  Norm and Cliff get drunk and inadvertanly burn down the bar.

I liked the ending to the British version of "The Weakest Link".

They played clips of Anne Robinson to the song, "She's a lady".

Are we sure he's dead?  I know they made the reference to the hit with everything going black, but do you really think they would hit him in a crowded place in front of his entire family like that?  That's the part that doesn't make any sense.

No one knows anything. They didn't write what happened and left it open to interpretation.

Lost's ending didn't annoy me as much as it did others. Could it have been better? Sure. It was a little weird, but I can deal with weird.

Seinfeld, to me, was one of the worst. Great show. Ending sucked.

Night Court's ending blew massive monkey chunks. Loved the show up until its end.
