Completely irrelevant to the thread.  Show some respect.

RIP Sabol.  Classic Football Follies used to be my favorite growing up.

Way ahead of his time and glad he carried on his father's work. There are few voices that mesmerize us like Steve's did.

RIP Brother! Thank you for your contribution to the game I love.

NFL Films and Sabol changed the way America, and specifically myself, viewed sports.  It is single-handedly responsible for introducing me to the history of football and making me the fan I am today.

RIP Mr. Sabol.  My sincerest condolences go out to your family.

I was actually showing how NFL Films was ahead of its time. Not sure how it shows lack of respect  Roll Eyes

^ Yeah.  Not disrespectful.  He was praising Sabol.

Anyway, it's strange when people die who were just always part of the backdrop of your life.  NFL films was awesome.  Is awesome.

Hall of fame for Sabol.

I guess it is human nature not to appreciate or think about how great a person is until they are gone. Honestly, I had not thought of Steve since I saw the special he did on his father that told the story how it all got started.

Thought you might like this.

A major loss for the National Football League.  Steve Sabol made NFL films so amazing to watch.

There's nothing I loved more as a kid, than Super Bowl Sunday. Back in the day, when MTV actually played videos. ESPN would run the Super Bowl marathon. From super bowl I to the one played the year before. Who hasn't gone into their backyard and pretended to run in "super slow motion" en route to the game winning TD? I love NFL Films. Always have, always will.

R.I.P., Steve.
