The Cards are up next..in AZ. They are 3-0 and have a tremendous defense. Yesterday against Philly, Vick was sacked 5 times and knocked down a whopping 13 times. Not sure how our O line compares to Philly's, but if I were Tanny, I would be practicing my roll-outs.

FWIW, I think Zona is better than most people think. Their big question was at QB and since Skelton got hurt, Kolb has done a VG job. This one could be ugly!

Our O-Line is playing lights out right now. It's the lack of weapons that screws our offense.

With Jon Jerry finally in shape and living up to his 3rd round draft pick potential and Martin playing really really well for a rookie RT this o-line is outstanding right now. It went from a great weakness to a great strength on this team.  Even when Bush went out yesterday the Fins ran for over 100+ yards on the vaunted Jets defense.

LMAO! Really? the vaunted Jets defense? The Jets are 28th in the league in run defense. Gaining 100 yards on them is no feat. Teams are averaging 148 yards per game against them, lol. -EK

This will be an interesting game.....the Cards D is fast and they are good. If we can get pressure on Kolb he has a tendency to go into happy feet mode and make mistakes. I am hoping for a lot of the later.

Seriously?  YOU are running to the stat sheet to hide behind? You are the one who for months upon months on this site said Miami being 3rd in rushing defense and 6th in scoring defense didn't matter last year! Now you are running to bring up the Jets rushing defense ranking on Sep 24th only 3 weeks into the season?  You are the one who said you don't judge these things on a single year and you must take into account last year and the year before. Now you are hiding behind team rushing defense 3 weeks into the season. So now the Jets defense sucks I take it in your world? Last year great, now 3 weeks into the season it sucks.

Oh and that first round can't miss stud rookie for the Jets Coples has 4 tackles in 3 games!

If Reggie Bush doesn't play Miami has no shot in hell. The Cards defense is very fast and will eat up an offense like Miami that has few playmakers at WR.  If Bush plays Miami might be able to control the clock and keep it close and make it a field goal game late and hopefully this week Carpenter will come through. With no Bush though it's a tall task asking this offense to beat anyone let alone a very good Arizona team on the road

I'm not running behind anything- the back-up RB for the Bills burned the Jets for over 150 yards by himself. That's not a good run D. You don't need stats to see that. Sorry that reality doesn't match your skewed view. Maybe you should pop in to the Hartline thread for another dose of reality. I'll save you the trip: Hartline dropped a higher % of passes than Marshall did last year. Glad we got rid of 1200+ yards, and 7-+ receptions to keep a player who is more likely to drop passes.

Speaking of first rounders who can't miss- your boy Tannehill? Dead last in the league in passer rating for starters. -EK

When did Tannehill become my boy? Who ever stated he was a can't miss? Find a post where anyone here ever said that? Save your time, nobody ever did! As I stated in April like 10,000 times I said if Philbin/Sherman/Irleand believe in him I support their decision to draft him. If they don't, I am fine with that too. Hey he beat the Raiders and if Carpenter makes a kick he beats the Jets. He is doing fine by me, I am pleased 3 games into the Tannehill era. With NO WR's really he is doing just fine in my book. And he led 2 LATE DRIVES vs the Jets with no Reggie Bush. He did it with Hartline, Bess, and Daniel Thomas. Not exactly Irvin, Harper, and Emmitt! Some rookie mistakes thus far but oh well, it's expected.Kurt Warner and Trent Dilfer are higher on Tannehill than I am, go read them. But I have no problem with Ryan so far. He has played Houston and the Jets (2 very good defenses) so if the stats aren't great oh well. In my book Ryan and the Fins could easily be 2-1 if Carpenter makes a kick and instead of a loss all people are talking about is how Tanny led a game winning drive in OT with maybe the worst supporting cast in the NFL vs a very good defense.

We know, you HATE Tannehill. You won't be here on this site weeks he plays good. You will be here weeks he plays bad to repeat over and over again how much you HATE him. Tebow is God, Tannehill is the Devil. We got it EK. The Fireman EK character, we all get it!

Agreed....this is why I breathed a big sigh of relief to hear that Reggie did not suffer a devastating injury like Revis. He is an explosive and exciting player to watch and he really is our offense. I'd like to see him play live this weekend.

Against a very good defense? What planet are you living on? They're a middle of the pack defense at best this year, and they were without Revis. That's NO accomplishment. -EK

Revis didn't play at all yesterday? Interesting. Saw him out there for most of 3 quarters. Must have seen a different game than the rest of us.

You specifically said "two late drives." No Revis on those, thus not impressive. Trapped by your own words or were you watching a different game than the rest of us?

So, to recap, the Jets are in the bottom third of the league in total defense, bottom half of the league in scoring defense, nearly LAST (28th) in run defense, but they're a "very good" defense? And it was an accomplishment for Miami to run on them and Tannehill to have two late drives without Revis there? Wtf? When you sober up, you may want to note that Tannehill went 1/7 on long pass attempts in the fourth quarter and OT (you know, without Revis) and had a QB rating of 50 in said game. Yeah... He's real impressive. -EK

You specifically said "two late drives." No Revis on those, thus not impressive.

So EVERY QB who has a late drive in a game that isn't against Revis makes it a non-impressive drive?  You have to be kidding me.  This has to be a joke.

Also Tannehill converted 3 third downs (2 third and long's) late in the game to get Miami in field goal range. But that doesn't count either cause no Revis! lol

So nothing Tannehill does the rest of the year will matter because he won't be facing Revis so, he can't be impressive. Roll Eyes
