Anyone know what Dansby is smoking these days? He told Arizona reporters that the Dolphins have more talent than the 2008 Cardinals.  Hopefully he was misinterpreted.

Quote
Karlos Dansby, former Arizona Cardinals and current Dolphins linebacker, was the guest on the conference call with Arizona reporters today.

And on that conference call Dansby told reporters the current Dolphins have more talent than the 2008 Cardinals team. The 2008 Cardinals went to the Super Bowl and were one amazing Santonio Holmes catch in the final seconds from winning the championship

The guy hasn't stopped talking crap since he got to Miami. I pointed it out a few times last year and was blasted for it. Horrible, overpaid, free agent acquisition. For what he's given the team in two years they could've shored up the secondary and maybe won a few more games. -EK

Gotta like a guy who's talking up his team.

We all know, of course, he's wrong, but that's not the point.  He's being a good leader.

Exactly. You can't expect a guy to go out and say his team sucks. Not when you still have 13 games to go.

No, but you don't make yourself look stupid to your colleages around the league either. You say you are confident that we'll be "competetive" in our game with AZ and leave it at that. It's vauge and can't be held to ridicule and make you a target.

Between him publically throwing the team officials under the bus for the way the Chad Johnson thing was handled, saying he's the best LB in football (then racking up a whopping 4 tackles his next game), predicting a Super Bowl before this season, and now this, can we please grant him the "Just shut up award?" No Pro Bowls, and through 33 games as a Dolphin, he has 3 forced fumbles, no recoveries, one INT, and 5 sacks. Good, but not great. Forbes just voted him the second most overpaid player in the entire league, behind David Harris, and yet the guy still keeps yapping. Enough already. -EK

WHO CARES?

Let him talk.  Reporters go to him and make him say things.  Its not like he's going to say "no comment" every time.

Jeez, you get mad when he bashes the team (Johnson incident) and then get mad when he supports the team (like now).  Maybe you guys are being hyper-critical...?

I don't find his predictions as "supporting the team" in any way. The team sucks. They sucked last year before he said "Super Bowl 2012!!" and they suck this year. Why is it hyper critical to say something about this gy who has never stopped talking, but it's OK to slam other players for saying less? Brandon Marshall isn't even on the team anymore, and people start threads about him vs. Hartline, that ineveitably turn into, "Marshall talks to much...too much extra stuff.. he should STFU and play." I heard that the entire time he was a Phin. Little consistency please? -EK

Yep. And Dansby didn't say anything bad either. He wasn't throwing his QB or head coach under the bus like a former nut-job WR we had and starting trouble. Dansby is saying the "RIGHT THINGS" and staying positive. No problem with what he is saying.

This Dansby quote is drama free/player speak. It's no big deal.

Of course it's no big deal. If Marshall or Tebow or any one of the guys you're not all about said it you'd be the one starting the thread, but oh, no, nobody best say nothin' bad about any of Miami's defense or Tannehill! What a joke. Dansby didn't throw his head coach or QB under the bus, he threw the whole damn organization under the bus, publicly question the move and calling it a distraction. Dude, your a linebacker. Shut up and play and let the guys in charge- YOUR BOSSES- make the football moves. Will be glad when his overpaid, underperforming ass is gone via trade or cut next year. -EK
