Fins Front 7 on defense

Barry Jackson had a tidbit today on why the Fins front 7 on defense is playing so well thus far. Starks is down 40lbs. Soliai is in the best shape of his life conditioning wise and lost weight (no number given on how much). Dansby is down 30 lbs.

So far this year Dansby, Burnett, and Rasheed Jones haven't missed one defensive snap through 3 games. Last year Nolan would remove Dansby from games. Also, (from JT's ESPN rant a few weeks back) Nolan would drop Wake in coverage and not have him rushing the passer numerous times which made little sense.

From reading this article and other articles like this and from JT's classic rant it seems like the defense likes playing for Coyle more than they did Nolan.

The front 4 are one of the best in the league. Still not sold on the LB's, but they are above average. Would love to add some speed to the OLB positions.
