Best day ever for a Dolphins rookie qb. That's got to put a little hope in your heart.

Quote
The Dolphins lost despite getting career games from four players — including Tannehill, who completed 26 of 41 for 431 yards — a Dolphins rookie record.

Brian Hartline and Davone Bess both had monster games. Hartline set the Dolphins’ all-time record with 253 yards on 12 catches, while Bess added 7 for 123. It was the first time two Dolphins went over 100 yards in the same game since Oronde Gadsden and Chris Chambers did it in 2001.

There's always hope. Just sucks that it wasn't enough for a win.

If you would have told me prior to this season that THIS offensive unit would have a day like this vs any team I would have laughed. This offense improves each week though. Still a long way to go but the pieces we have are improving.

Time to cut Naanee (and probably Armstrong too). Promote Matthews and Fuller from the practice squad. Go ALL IN on the youth movement. Not like we are losing anything with Naanee and Armstrong.

Hartline owned in .8% of fantasy leagues according to NFL.com. Among the thousands of fantasy players nationwide, I'm kicking myself. It's not like no one could see the potential after his earlier big game. Congrats to all three. -EK

Hartline had a better day than anyone that ever played with Dan FREAKING Marino against a ferocious defense. Can't tell you how excited that makes me!!!

Ya know ... by playing well and losing only helps us for next year's draft. Just sayin.

I had him on 2 of my starting rosters this week and I just picked him up on my 3rd team. I'd be lieing if I said I expected this, but I did expect something from him.

And with 5 picks in the first 3 rounds it looks good. Keep rooting AGAINST Indy and Chicago! It helps us when they lose! Higher picks in Rd's 2 and 3 of theirs.

Jeff Darlington had this stat nugget:  QB Ryan Tannehill, who threw for 431 yards today, was ONE yard short of Cam Newton's single-game record for passing yards by a rookie.

Damn Nanee!

I'm not positive, but I think the yards from that pass counted in Tannehill's total.  If was a fumble after the reception.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I could tell a complete stranger the story of how Miami players had all these record breaking/setting performances, and still lost the game, and they would have a perfect idea of the Miami Dolphins franchise as whole as of late.

They did. I'm still not sure that is a catch. Ended up not mattering cause Smith got an INT in the endzone so it was a turnover that caused no points. It did just kill Miami's drive and momentum though. Naanee has to go

Not only did Hartline break the team record for receiving yards in a game, he also broke the team record for all purpose yards in a game.

I'm sure you're right, I jumped the gun. But Nanee had room to run if he didn't trip himself up.  Grin
