I don't buy the theory that JI wants to keep him to save face.
That's what Ireland haters say to turn his terrible play into a dig on Ireland.  Haters gonna hate.

Anyone rather take a stab on Plaxico, Chad, Mike Sims-Walker, Lee Evans over Naanee?

Who else is on the roster worth trying to develop? Armstrong??? Matthews??? My vote is for Marlon Moore. Time to see what he can do. Hard to believe Naanee has lasted 6 yrs. in the NFL.

Here is the current roster, in order of pos.

Before this game I was calling him "The Invisible Man." Frankly wish I still could.

Has never been better than a 3rd WR. Think he was #2 for a while in Carolina when somebody got hurt.

And as long as we're talking about Ireland's Free Agents this year, can't say Richard Marshall looks like much of a deal either.

If we went Hartline, Bess, Moore, Matthews, and Armstrong for the rest of the season, I'd be a happy guy.

He's been mentioned 7 times in the play by play.

Tannehill has been intercepted twice when throwing to Naanee.
Tannehill has been incomplete twice when throwing to Naanee.
Tannehill has completed once to Naanee, which he fumbled.
Naanee has been credited with 2 tackles on special teams.

Like I said earlier only 2 things can happen when you throw to Naanee and BOTH of them are bad. I have no freaking clue why he's on the team. Must be his special teams work and run blocking because it's not as a receiver.

I thought Matthews and BJ Cunningham looked decent in pre-Season. We let Cunningham get away. You have to wonder about Coaches that rate Naanae higher than either of those.

If I am Tanny, I am not throwing to Naanee. I would even tell Phibin, "you can put him out there, but he isn't getting a pass".

The only thing positive I can say about Naanee is at least he hustled to make the tackle and keep Peterson out of the endzone on that fumble return.

It could have been the most significant tackle made by a Dolphin all day.

Maybe he should be playing defense.   Wink

I don't know if this is how you spell his name.  My apologies, if not.

Regardless, I think that you need to terminate Nannee today.

I am surprised that he made the team in the first place.  It's not just his recent mistake (that in my opinion, should have been called an incomplete pass).  It's the fact that I think he brings nothing to your roster.  He isn't a particularly good route runner, and more importantly, he can't catch.

I think what you should do, unless you have a free agent WR you were considering, is to bring in 7-11 Chris Hogan.  He can run tight timing routes and he can catch.  It's better than what you have.  Plus, I think it sends a message that you're looking to improve.

I feel like my biggest gripe is this is his 6th season in the league He's 28...I'd understand if he was a rookie, maybe a second year guy that showed a quality that you needed...He just hasn't showed didly IMO..Personally I'd like to see more Rishard Mathews..

I keep thinking Derrius Thompson...all over again...

Hogan was cut from the practice squad.  It seems like he's pretty far from playing in a game.

I would have liked to have kept him and try him out in real games (he might be a gamer, like Matt Moore) but the ship has likely sailed.

Seriously, the guy hasn't touched the ball once all season.  Finally makes a catch and trips and fumbles in a game-critical situation after being hit by a warm breeze.

I am surprised he hasn't been cut by now.  Bring back Chad Johnson, and get rid of this loser, ASAP.

Naane is more useless than tits on a bull. Even tits on a bull does no harm...and they don't count against the cap. Cut this loser NOW!! I don't care if you replace him with Flipper!

If you rewatch the end of the game, Naanee also whiffed on a block on a Reggie run late that went for 15+ yards or so. If he makes that block Reggie might have scored or at least gained another 20 or so yards. If he makes that block the fumble never happens and Miami might win that game in regulation. Re-watch the 4th quarter, you can't miss the play,

To put someone as bad as Naanee out on the field really says just how bad the WR corp is. There must be someone better than Naanee to put out there. This is the guys 6th year. He isn't going to get any better. What you see is what you get.
