A story on my local news lastnight threw out a stat, that kind of floored me... the Pew Research Center found that most adults text more than 40 times a day.Link, and video to storyI've never heard of the Pew research center,so I take the accuracy with a grain of salt... I know I'm far from normal when it comes to Text messages, phone calls,etc.... I get 3-4 a week from work, and might send 1 a week, and that's being extremely generous... How often do you text? 10 times a day? 20? are you what the Pew research calls Average?

I have to say that as wireless devices have evolved, I find myself texting and using apps a lot more and talking a lot less. I have the old Verizon plan with 900 minutes, unlimited text, and unlimited data. I want to get the Samsung Galaxy s3 when I am eligible for an upgrade in January, but Verizon has said that if I get that device at their promotional price, I have to give up the unlimited data and switch to one of those new family shared plans. That is something I cannot and will not do because it would cost me more money every month.

Between 10-20 a day. It takes less time to text as opposed to actually talking. Thank God for unlimited text plans.
