Actually, I was referring to the school lunch thing. I was reading so quickly that I missed the soda ban part. And thanks, I didn't know that the soda ban was by a Republican. I still think that it's ridiculous. But having said that, I think we all know that the libs are the ones that want more government and regulations intruding into our lives. Alas, too bad we can't test drive Ron Paul for a couple years instead of these two idiot clowns we have on the ballot....
Funny thing you mentioned that the liberals are trying to intrude in our lives and playing a modern day Robin Hood. A colleague of mine who teaches college statistics e-mailed me these numbers. Here are the ten poorest cities in America with the percentage of residents they have living at or below the poverty level, and the last year they've had a Republican mayor:
1. Detroit , MI- 32.5% 1961
2. Buffalo , NY- 29.9% 1954
3. Cincinnati , OH- 27.8% 1984
4. Cleveland , OH- 27.0% 1989
5. Miami , FL- 26.9% (tied) never
5. St. Louis , MO- 26.9% (tied) 1949
7. El Paso , TX- 26.4% never
8. Milwaukee , WI- 26.2% 1908
9. Philadelphia , PA- 25.1% 1952
10. Newark , NJ- 24.2% 1907
Bottom line is this: These people are voting for the candidate who promises to help the poor and give more to the poor, and they are STILL POOR.
