Rams game "sold out" and will be on TV this Sunday in the South Florida market.  No word if Ross bought up the seats or if its a legit sell out. They didn't ask for an extension this time so I am thinking it might be a legit sell out.

Also I will throw this in here since it probably doesn't deserve it's own topic. Former Dolphins PR man Beano Cook died today. Only worked fo the Fins for 1 year in the 60's but he always talked highly of the organization and the city. He was a good man and always entertaining. He will be missed!

I don't think any of these "sellouts" are legit.

It is legit, from what I read.  The JT/Zach ceremony is the big draw.  That's what made me want to go...  Plus they won last week, and the Rams are beatable.  The fans are starting to believe again.

I lived in Merritt Island (40 miles east of O town) and when they made that area (Central Florida) part of the Jags market is when I got DirecTV and the ticket. How is Orlando not part of the Bucs market?

Rumor I heard was the area was unclaimed and the Jags claimed it as theirs and the networks accommodated them despite geographics.

Great point. I hope they show it on TV. I imagine it will be a 10 second blip.  Sad

Stinger, this game not being on TV has nothing to do with the Jaguars. They have a bye this week. Since the Rams are the away team Fox is the network showing the game. Fox is showing the Cowboys-Ravens here locally. That station has no loyalty to the Fins really since most of our games are on CBS. The local CBS station would have carried the game I assume.

Fins4ever, I always expected Orlando was considered Tampa's market but maybe it is not officially. They do show all the Bucs away games as far as I know.

No we are considered the Jags market. Still not sure by looking at the coverage map why we are the only area of the state not to get the game other than Tampa which is blacked out for their game.

No we are considered the Jags market.

Since the NFL has contracts to put the NFC on Fox and the AFC on CBS, I think you can be in the market for different teams. The Jaguars get the notice and complaints because it interferes with the Dolphins more. If the Bucs played away at the same time as the Dolphins and both games are on FOX the local affiliate would not get to choose. They would be forced to show the Bucs I am pretty sure. That is because we are in their market. I believe the NFL has primary markets assigned by distance. With Orlando being on Tampa's blackout radius (interesting story I heard is that technically we are not within the radius but the broadcasting tower is), I beleive we are their primary market by default. We are the Jags secondary market because we do not fall within their radius but have been claimed as Jags territory. Like I said, I'm not sure though.

I think that you guys are selling the team short.  I think that there is a buzz building around this team.  People think that this is a game they can win, they want to reward the team for playing well, and they want a good reason to go to a game.  Hell, I'm going for that reason -- I don't give a crap about the JT and Zach honoring (though it's a cool bonus.)

I would say it's for both reasons. A little history for the nostalgic and motivation to watch a team that is definitely getting better.

Fox 35 is showing the Dallas -Ravens game at 1:00pm and the 49ers-Giants game at 4:00pm . I don't get it. CBS's Local 6 is showing the Pats- Seattle game at 4pm. WTH?

2 out of 3 of those games feature a team that was in last year's superbowl.  While a game between 2 teams neither of which has won a playoff game in almost a decade goes untelivized.  I am shocked.  Shocked! I tell ya.
