It seems to me that today, we're tied for the division lead (tiebreakers not withstanding) but that we're also tied for both wildcard spots.  Is this the case?

Yes. 7-way tie for the WC. Effectively 5th if you include the tie-breakers. ESPN ran an interesting piece on the AFCE with the writer's opinion on likelihood of making the playoffs for each team. They have the Pats 90% "likely," with Miami second in the division at 40% "likely," citing the lack of depth straight across the board and the poor play of the secondary (4/6 QBs have gone for over 300 yards against them) as the biggest potential stumbling blocks. -EK

When you draft your fantasy teams, do you pass on Brady or Welker or the Jets D because they play for a rival? -EK
Yes.
I have never once had a Jets player on my fantasy team.

You don't play for Miami. You have no stake in their winnings or losings. If I'm in a money league (or even a non-money league), I'm not passing on a better player at a position because he plays for a rival. -EK

Your choice.
I am in a money league, have been for 12 years.  Never had a Jets player on my team.

And what about New England? I did ask about them both. You really gonna pass on Brady and perhaps lose money? No one is that delusional. -EK

I have never had Brady on my team but my hatred for the Patriots is significantly less than that for the Jets.  But I still have never had Brady, or Welker, Moss, Corey Dillon, etc.  I currently have Brandon Bolden in one league and Patriots defense in another league.

I avoid having to root for players who play for teams that I want to rot in hell.

Some of you guys take this shit far too seriously. It's just a freaking game. Good lord. I just don't get it. If Miami wins, I don;t get up happier or feel like my life is in any way better. If they lose, I don't get upset or depressed. Likewise if the Jets/Pats/Bills win I'm not bummed, nor am I happy if they lose, unless they were playing Miami. There are far too many things in the real world that matter more than the outcome of a game to me. -EK

I won't play in a money leagues anymore.  Cause the problem isn't just not having rival players but also you oppenant might have a player you want to do well for the real game purposes but do poorly for FF purposes.

I have no issues drafting Jets players, despite my hatred of them personally.

Well this revelation clears up a lot for me EK. You see I AM one of those guys that gets up happier on a Monday when the Dolphins win on Sunday. It used to get me depressed for a couple days when the Dolphins would lose, but I shrug it off better now then I did because it has been happening far too often for me to let it bother me that much. Everyone of my family/friends knows that if you want to buy me a gift, just get something with a Dolphins logo on it and I will like it. My password for a lot of sites is Dolphins related. My PIN on my credit card is related to the Dolphins. I pretty much spend a part of everyday doing something Dolphins related (like checking out these forums).

I'm like you when it comes to every other team and every other sport I'm a fan of. I'm a Blackhawks and WhiteSox fan too, but if they lose it's no big deal and if they win it's nice, but unless it's the playoffs, I really don't care. So yes the Dolphins are different for me and I suspect that they are different for some of the others here too. Maybe that's why it's been so hard for me to understand your stance on Tannehill, but now I understand. I'm sorry if I offended you for suggesting that maybe you weren't a Dolphins fan, I didn't mean to offend you, but I think it's clear now that you're not the same kind of Dolphins fan that I am and I suspect you're not the same kind of Dolphins fan as some of the others here as well. That's not on you, it's on me, but I think if you were to put yourself into my shoes, you could better understand where I was coming from. When you live and die with a team the way I do, it's hard to imagine another fan being so negative about one of their players.

If football isn't that important to you and if so many other things are so much more important then its very odd you spend a lot of time on this board arguing about it 24/7/365. Just an observation.
