I enjoy looking at the power rankings after each game.  It gives you some perspective about how others view your team.  With so many 3 - 3 teams, you can find the Dolphins as high as 13 and as low as 21.  Here are a few I looked at

Yahoo - 13
CBS Sportsline - 15
Bleacher Report - 15
ESPN - 17
NFL - 18
Fox Sports - 21

Check out the video on CBS Sports where they make a case for Joe Philbin leading the race for coach of the year.  It's only 6 weeks, but it's nice to see him in the discussion. - http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/powerrankings

It's nice to see that no one has us in the last third. Middle third (which all of them are) is about where I'd peg us.

It's kind of an odd feeling being one of the positive surprises of the year. I don't think I felt this same kind of optimism during the Chad Pennington season.

Mike Lombardi thinks Houston, Baltimore, NE are the 3 best teams in the AFC.

After that Miami, Pitt, Denver (in whichever order) are the next best teams in that group a level ahead of everyone else in the AFC

Yeah, I can see that. Still they all have problems. Houston lost ILB Brian Cushing, Balt. just lost Ray Lewis and N.E is still banged up and very inconsistent.

The AFC looks like it's up for grabs.  I thought it would come down to the Texans and Baltimore, but these injuries are going to make a difference.  Right now, I think Denver and NE have the best chance of playing in the AFC championship game.

Not sold on Denver yet. But they will be in the mix. If there was ever a year for a "surprise team" or a team to come out of nowhere and get to the Super Bowl, it's this year in the AFC.  It's gonna be about the team that is peaking in December/January. Like the 2007 Giants maybe. Be hot when it counts!

I think Baltimore has far too many injuries already. Houston has been known to "choke" in big spots. While they are the front-runners they are weak front-runners.

I predict Mia @ NE week 17 will be a meaningful game for at least one of the teams, if not both.

I kind of agree, but I don't want to jinx us and shit turn out like last time when a new head coach came in. One good season followed by crap for years, ha ha..

The difference is the 11-5 team was built on a house of cards. When Penny got hurt and the WC gimmick play ran it's course it was over. I thought the Ravens exposed them pretty well in the 1st round of the playoff.

This team is different. Very solid from the inside out.
