Super Bowl 50 (or 51) maybe coming to Miami

Not a big deal.

Lets face it, the skyrocketing cost for SB tickets have made it difficult if not impossible for the average fan to see it live. I am middle class and love football, but would not be willing to make the sacrifice needed to buy the tickets and travel arrangements.

The SB has become a venue for the wealthy. Check it out and keep in mind this is just for 1 ticket and includes nothing else.

Those prices may be higher than the final street value as the only people even considering buying a ticket right now are the ultra-wealthy. 

Most purchased tickets are bought by fans of a specific team after the AFCCG and NFCCG are played. 

Unless you have an insane amount of extra money you are not going to buy a SB ticket just to see any two teams play.  Middle class folks who buy tickets to the SB do so to see their team.

I'm with ya there.  I'm upper middle class and I still would not be willing to spend the thousands it would cost to get Super Bowl tickets.

While weather is a big issue, I am sure the NFL can give 100 reasons why Green Bay would not be considered. Off the top of my head; the age of their stadium and the lack of infrastructure to support it (transportation, restaraunts, hotel, etc.) come immediately to mind.

It is totally about the tourist dollars and the week-long festivities leading up to the game. The SB is more about what goes on before the game as much as what happens on game day now.
I wish it were in a freezing cold place...it would drive all the celebrities and posers away and leave the seats available to the true football fans.

It's going to be in New York next season.  I can't wait to see that potential train wreck.

It won't be a trainwreck until game time. NY is used to hosting "big events" and the week leading up to the game and such won't be a problem and it will run smooth. If it snows or is ice cold during the game, then yeah it will be a disaster that will be talked about forever.
