KC and Arizona have quarterback situations that are disasters. If Miami could get a 6th or 7th for Moore pull the trigger now! He probably isn't re-signing after this year, he clearly has no future in Miami. Not sure if either of those teams want Moore but I hope Ireland is on the phone.

Devlin as the #2 is fine.

Seriously, I like ya Mike, put down the pipe.

Moore is cheap enough and has NFL experience. Devlin has no experience and if by chance they are in a PO hunt it would be a disaster.

Moore for a 6th or 7th. NO WAY! How you could even consider trading an experienced backup (the only one on your roster) for a late round pick is beyond me.

I see very little difference between a 7th round pick and an undrafted rookie free agent, so unless we could get a 6th rounder, it doesn't make much sense to downgrade the backup QB position.

I agree with MikeO.

Of course. It makes no sense to hold onto a guy who is walking in a few months when his contract expires. He isn't staying here and he has even said as much in the preseason. If some team is desperate enough to part with a 6th or 7th round pick because their QB situation is in shambles, do it! KC and Arizona currently have that situation.

Did the trade deadline get pushed back to week 8 this year?

I believe it did

I agree with Devlin as the #2 guy, but I'd bring back Garrard for insurance if he is healthy.

Fair enough with the Garrard point. That actually makes a lot f sense. Point is we have a trade-able assert let's not let it go to waste. YES, its only a 6th or 7th round pick. But take it! Maybe you package that with another late round pick to move up a few spots in Rd 5 to get a guy you want on draft day. It's worth it. Moore has no value to the Fins. He isn't going to be here after the year.

Why wouldn't KC or Arizona go grab Garrard then, and save their picks?

Just read that Kolb will be out several weeks with a rib injury. Seems it would be easier to replace the O line instead of the QB. lol

Garrard isn't healthy. Won't pass a physical most likely

Gee, I don't know about that, but it does have an upside. AZ. probably won't win very many more games and a 1st rounder could be a top 10 pick. AZ. would also be stuck with trying to work out  a super sized contract.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea. Of course if you did it before the deadline, we would have a huge hole for 10 weeks.

On one side of the line but the question is, which one.  Keep in mind that if Long walks at the end of the year, his replacement is already on the roster.

But then you have to replace the RT, so I'm not sure that's much consolation.
