I think we should all be negative, so that Miami feels comfortable enough to play well and win games. Whenever they start getting positive press, they do this. So, for the good of the team:

THIS TEAM F#%@ING SUCKS!!!

Am I the only one that thought Long had a horrible game too? Not as bad as Smith, but pretty damn close. Defense on 3rd down was just horrible too.

Long wasn't as good as you want him to be but he wasn't horrible. Freeney is pretty darned good as well.  I'll say this again. No one wins every battle in the NFL. It just isn't possible.

I think Long's play is going to make it tough to keep him around.  Not that Miami wouldn't be willing to re-sign him, but that he may feel like he's worth All-Pro money even though he is playing at a Role-Player level.

If someone were to make the argument that Pouncey is the best O-lineman on the team, could any of us dispute it?

Long's replacement is already on the roster

Sad part about today is that it probably puts us out of the playoffs.

FAR too early to say that. Still 8 games to be played. Lots of football left.

I agree with you about Pouncey. I think many thought he was going to be a solid player but I didn't know anyone who thought he would play to this level.

I don't know enough about Long as a person to even suggest where his head is. He made a lot of money up front so depending on his motives, may not be looking for top LT money. At least I hope not. This will definitely be something to watch for.
