THE ASSCLOWN AWARD

Joe Philbin.  That took MAJOR guts to go for the win in that situation backed up so far.

Big win, I give it to Tannehill although the running game did very well.

I am glad Philbin went for it. This season is about improving and showing teams how to win, not the playoffs. Playing for OT would've been bad. Just look at what Romeo Crennel did earlier today, kept going for Field Goals deep into Broncos territory on short yardage 4th downs. Your team is 1-9, what are you doing? That's a loser. Philbin went for the win and even if they lost, it was the right move.

Tannehill.  He had 3 mediocre quarters, but came up huge in the 4th.  He got bailed out on the bogus roughing the passer call, but outside of that, he was spectacular in bringing his team back to win against a good team.

Tannehill's 4th quarter is what we're looking for.  He gets my vote.

I have to give it to Coach Philbin.  This team was dead in the water but he never gave up on them.  As a result, they found a way to win.  Progress is evident.

Clay gets the game ball from me. He had some excellent blocks to set those long runs and he displayed very good hands, 6 catches for 84 yards and a touchdown...

Paul Soliai or Bess. PS was relentless and Bess played great despite being banged up.

Not even close for me on Tannehill. He was one questionable roughing the passer call from throwing his 2nd pick with yet another bad decision. He plays great after a busted play or scramble, but he needs to make better decisions. Tannehill and the Fins got lucky yesterday.

The decision was HORRIBLE, agreed, but the roughing call was NOT questionable. On the contrary, it was friggin' obvious and is the kind that gets called EVERY time. Just because the player also tried to bat the ball doesn't mean he isn't responsible for where and how he lands -- and when that's right in the quarterbacks helmet, well, that's roughing. The same thing goes for blocking punts... Jumping up or in front of the kicker is fine, but if you collide with him, none of that matters.
