We have threads every once in awhile (usually in the anti fins section about, your least favorite Dolphin)

(No Nit picking other peoples Players....No He Sucks posts!)

There is a thread in the Antifins section to bitch about players....

Well,After a win,and before the Luau of the Dolphins/Patriots this weekend ..Who are the players you like on the team?

You don't have to answer the way I do, I'm just screwed up in the way I think...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For me most of the team, they're on the team,When they perform well,great...When the Screw up Boo...
Guy's I really like...
Davone Bess - I've liked Bess,since he made the team,I know he's not a 1,or a 2...But I still really like him...
Karlos Dansby - I wanted him a year before we got him,He was a restricted free agent I think..I said I'd love for us to get him...A year late, and hasn't had the big impact plays I'd hoped for,but I still like him...
Olivier Vernon- I like the plays he's made so far this year...

Guy's that I'm liking the more I watch them, moved out of the "They're on the team to I like them"
Mike Pouncey
Ryan Tannehill
Reggie Bush (this one I waffle on,when he's not running sideways or backwards  Cheesy)
Brian Hartline

I've liked prior to this year, and still like them...
Randy Starks
Cameron Wake

I've grown a fondness for Javorsky Lane, Richie Incognito, Mike Pouncey -- I don't know why...it's not even because I like them.  I just like watching them.

Funny, I also like Incognito.  I don't care if he's a little dirty, we need the attitude.  I would like to see Lane do well, I think he has a good story.  It's hard not to like Soliai and Wake.

I may be alone, but I like Sean Smith.  I think he plays aggressive and is better than he's given credit for.  He's a free agent after this year, and I would hate to lose him.

Of lesser known players, I really like Thigpen. It seems like he's always making things happen on special teams.

Thigpen and Vernon are the two that have had the biggest impression on me this year.

I like Incognito, I just wish he was a better blocker and wonder if he's worth all the money they paid him.

When he's on, he's on.  The trouble is, "when he's on" is never going to work under Coach Philbin.  From what I saw, they didn't pay him that much.  He was a lot cheaper than the guy who he replaced, Justin Smiley.  That said, I like Incognito too.  Linemen need to have a nasty disposition.  This guy definitely has it.

Other players I like:

Cam Wake-  The sack master is putting up numbers while drawing double teams left and right.  Imagine if there was another pass rushing threat opposite him.

Jovorskie Clear The Lane- An enhanced version of Lousaka Polite.  He can actually block and catch passes out of the backfield.

Ryan Tannehill-  His poise and command are intangibles that cannot be measured.  He's performing as well as any rookie quarterback could with this group of receivers to throw to.  Imagine if he had some star caliber receivers.

Jonathan Martin- Play is improving every week despite the fact that he's playing outside his natural position.  I'm sure he will be the one to slide over to the left side if Jake Long walks this offseason.

Lamar Miller-  He's shown that he can take it to the house.  Why he's not on the field more is beyond me.

It was reported that Miller doesn't pass block well and in the first Jets game he wasn't paying attention when an audible was called, and subsequently ran the wrong route. Doghouse ever since. -EK

For the same reason Reggie Bush got benched for fumbling.  Coach Philbin is holding players accountable.  The pass blocking can be worked on.

few if any rookie running backs pass block well. It's the one aspect that doesn't translate well at all from the college game.  NFL defenses and blitz packages are much more complicated than what they see on the college level.

And Miller isn't in the doghouse. My god some of this stuff people just make up out of thin air!

There were three dozen media reports from October using that exact phrase- "in the doghouse" regarding Miller and his performance. Since then, he's gotten 4 attempts in 4-5 games, despite Bush being benched. How can you reasonably presume anything has changed? Players NOT in the doghouse are not listed as "inactive" like he was last week. -EK

Is this a bickering thread, or a thread about players you like on this roster?

If you aren't able to make a contribution to this thread ~ about players you like on the current roster and why, find a different thread to bicker in please.

Stay on topic.

Derailed threads are becoming the norm, we need to get this under control.

Much appreciated.  Thanks.

Among the current crop, some of my favorites are Pouncey, Tannehill, Cam Wake and Olivier Vernon...

An easier question for me is who I don't like. I actually like them all, but feel a few need to be challenged for their job. Among those are....

Nolan Carroll (the player I dislike the most. Maybe he is playing out of position, but he just does not have the skill set)
Dan Carpenter (nice winning kick last week, but average overall)
Rich Incognito (love him, but he does not fit)
Jared Odrick (time to trade him)
Karlos Dansby (poor value)
