If McElroy starts this week, I am seriously considering rooting for the Jets against the Jags.  I have only once rooted for the Jets in my life and that is because the Pats need the Jets to win (or tie) for NE to advance to the Playoffs.

I would love to see the media circus if it turns out McElroy is better than Sanchez or Tebow.

Is this wrong?

No, I think it's fine. In the end it would make the situation even worse for the Jets, and isn't that something everyone can smile about?

Yes it is wrong to ever root for any improvement in the Jets. What you should hope is for McElroy to play just well enough for Jets fans to think he is better but for them to be stuck in the same purgatory they are in now. That way you get the media hype, but no improvement.

Week 17, 2008?

I think rooting for the Jets can only be productive, long term, for all of us.  More muddy waters around Sanchez and Tebow, when McElroy is the best performer!  Who do you start?

1) The franchise QB with the big contract?
2) The fan favorite golden boy with the noodle arm?
3) The guy that can actually throw the ball but is a nobody?
