Receiver separation.  You need at least one deep threat.  The Dolphins don't have one.

Exactly.

Rome wasn't built in day. When Philbin came in and they blew this up on offense and started over every position couldn't be fixed in one year. WR was clearly put off till next year

This is something that has been painfully evident.  Coming from Green Bay, he may feel WRs are pretty much interchangeable.  I expect, after this year, he will pay particular attention to this overlooked detail.

Don't think that was the case at all. They just had no money to add anybody of value to this roster this offseason. They were capped out!

Capped out, perhaps.  Most likely, they thought they could compete with almost nothing.  It's an issue they didn't even want to deal with until late in the draft.

This is a sin that can be forgiven when they decide to upgrade this offseason.  You can't fix everything in one year, and it appears that WR was the low on the priority list.

Saying that there was "no one available at WR" is like trading away Wake and then complaining that there is no one on the market at DE.

Miami's WR corps was pretty respectable when Philbin arrived.

I will never, ever, EVER understand trading away Marshall for what they got and making no actual effort to either draft a receiver before the 6th round or pursue a FA. -EK

^^^ I gotta believe that had Marshall stayed he would have been detrimental to Tannehill's development.  I wish the Fins had won a couple games that they should have, but overall the season is progressing just how EVERYBODY expected prior to the start of the year, perhaps even better than some expected.

Dolphins TE's combined have the lowest production out of every TE group in the league. They have no speed and can't get open. Poor seperation from the group. Fasano is nothing special. And Clay didn't come on till mid-November really.

This unit needs an overhaul. If Fasano is back its probably at back-up money. He isn't a starter in this league and shouldn't be paid as such.

don't be shocked if he's Miami's next TE.

He isn't the same player he was from a couple years back but yes it is an instant upgrade! And his GB ties with Philbin should help

Fitzgerald is a very good guy, but you have to figure he wants out. He will be 30 before next season starts and this isn't baseball, he won't be playing forever and he is on a Hall of Fame track. He doesn't want to be stuck with these guys for the rest of his career, but would he want a 2nd year QB playing in an empty stadium?

Arizona isn't trading him. If they do they will lose every ticket holder they have. Why would anyone go to their games

I understand the Jake Long situation, but Miami has to stop getting rid of heir top players. Like Marshall, even V.Davis was decent, now Long/Bush maybe. and the worst part is they're not replacing their talents. Thing how much better dolphins would be with B.Marshall now to spread the field a lil bit. They need that number 1 receiver, all they got is Bess and Hartline, whic r good but mostly slot guys. Bush is a nightmare for defenses but if the dolphin's passing attack stinks, defenses stack up the box and Bush goes nowhere, and he still gets those big runs. I say Kepp Bush with Thomas and L.Miller, add a good WR either thru draft or free agency and it improves them by alot. Unless Martin plays extremly well, then maybe get rid of Long, but he's the best guy on that O line, I dunno...all im sayin is replace the talents they let go, give Tannehill some weapons to work with. I still cant believe they just pretty much gave away B.Marshall, look at the numbers he's putting up, and never replacing him even...c'mon man
