Everyone seems to understand this forum.

If you want to talk about non-NFL stuff: college or any other sport or athletic activity, here is the place.

What is encouraged:
- comparing sports
- discussing NHL, MLB, NBA, UFC, NCAA, Olympics, etc.
- talking about your personal experiences playing sports

What is discouraged:
- being an asshole

Would a discussion about chess belong in the off-topic section or other sports?

25+ years ago (prior to all the TV stations there are now) my friends and I would frequent this small neighborhood bar that had a sign advertising discounted prices on pitchers of beer if sports was on the TV, needless to say we would accept anything being called a "sport".
