Shame of the Game goes to Sean Smith.   As a whole, the secondary was crap, but he got burnt on several plays today which made us think Checkdown Chad was gonna lead the Jags to a touchdown.
He needs to follow Vontae Davis out the door.

Fields. Bad decision, worse throw.

What's he supposed to do? If it was called a fake, since Fasano was lined up uncovered at the start, he should have just thrown it a bit better is all. Of course, my opinion is Philbin should have gone for it.

I can't give a shame o' the game in this one...I saw nothing shameful in aqua and orange.

I'll admit it wasn't that bad of a play, but it was the worst play of the day for the Dolphins.

When Fasano became covered they were supposed to kick it. Fields blew that one.

I don't see how he would have known it with his head down, looking at Carp, and the center. If anything, Carp should have told him not to throw it.

He is the QB on that play. Are you saying the QB shouldn't see what is going on?

The thing is that he wasn't covered at the snap of the ball. They were heading to him, but he was still uncovered. If it was a good throw, it could have been completed although I don't know if he could have scored.

He has his back to Fasano..... Unless he has eyes behind his head he couldn't know. If he looks at Fasano he blows the play. Blame carpenter but not fields.

For what it's worth, I think Fields made the right play.

Fasano was uncovered when they set, he stood up and the defender was running to Fasano, so he threw it away.  (If Fields was really that inaccurate, I doubt they would even allow him to try such a play.)  If Fields tries to force it in, that's a potential pick-six.  What else is he going to do, run with it?

Nah  ... he can see the whole field. If he couldn't he wouldn't have any idea when Fasano was set.  It's really not that difficult turned sideways 7 yards behind the line.

I'm not saying he was the shame of the game. I'm only saying he blew that particular play. If you saw it on TV you also saw he got spoken to afterwards.
