Is this the end of the line for Dan Carpenter?  His missed kicks earlier this season cost this team two wins.

Since then he's been pretty solid.  If he wasn't dismissed then, he won't be now.

I'm surprised Kaeding was available.

Dude hasn't missed anything shorter than 47 yds all season long and hasn't missed anything in weeks with only 5 misses total for the season.  His only 2 misses sub 50 yards were in the Jet game (47,48).  The other 3 misses were 51, 53, and 50.  In fact, the guy has only missed one kick since the end of September.  He's been having a pretty dang good season.  I wonder how good his numbers would have been if his attempts weren't limited by a pitiful offense.

Nick Novak was kicking so well in San Diego, the Chargers didn't mind letting Kaeding go after another injury.  Kaeding has been a great kicker when healthy, but the last few seasons, he hasn't been healthy at all.  I'm actually nervous that he might not be able to finish the 2 games left on the schedule.

If he does stick around in Miami, it would be nice to see if he and Carpenter will battle it out for the K job next season.

How the hell did he hurt himself?  Did his mullet get tangled in something and pull him to the ground?

Got hurt last week on a kickoff. Which is why they tried that bad fake FG, because that that moment in time his leg was hurting and he couldn't attempt anything. They worked on it some (ie probably gave him a shot of something) and he was able to finish the game and kick some, but he was hurt bad in the middle of last weeks game.
