I think that Sparano might be suffering from the Peter Principle, where you're good at your job and then you get promoted to your level of incompetence.

^^^ Wouldn't it be the opposite of the Peter Principle? He went from being a HC  in MIami, to being an OC in New York, and now he's back to being an O-Line coach in Oakland.

No, it means that he was good as a line coach at one time, then was promoted to a higher level coach where he sucked.  Now that he's back as a line coach, maybe he'll be good again.

Well, he was obviously good enough at assistant head coach/OC to get promoted to HC of the Dolphins.

I think that was more due to the incompetence of the big TUNA than it was Sparano deserving a coaching promotion.

If he was such a great offensive line coach, then how come the Dolphins offensive line play declined every year while he was here??
