Hmmmmm, Chance Warmack perhaps?

Nah, while that would be a sweet O-line wet dream, I'm pretty sure that Miami would wait until round two for the OG pick.

Warmack would be a perfect fit but I think the Fins fan base would revolt if Ireland took another o-linemen in Rd 1. Even though it might be the safest pick for us.

We are about a month out and a lot can change but as of today I am thinking Miami is taking Rhodes, Austin, or Johnson IF they stay at #12 (which I am not sure they will )

They should check out some of the dividends that the 49ers got out of drafting 1st round O-linemen...

I think Warmack would be the "right" player to pick there...assuming he's available, and if the draft team felt there was no doubt that they could pick up a quality corner early in round two (not a problem in this draft class, imo).  I see him as a no-brainer lock for success. He has every physical tool you could want, and an elite "brain for the game." He's been NFL-ready for over a year, and I believe he'll be one of those "lock him in for the pro bowl" players every year.  I know this team has defensive needs, but in the interests of maximizing the successful development of Miami's young QB and improving the overall production of the offense, I think Warmack would be a near-perfect pick.

From the Miami Herald and Barry Jackson

Agent Drew Rosenhaus said on his weekly WSVN-7 segment that free agent offensive tackle Eric Winston "would really like to play" for the Dolphins and that the Dolphins have interest, but that the situation is "fluid." But the Dolphins have had a week to strike a deal since he visited and so far have not.

The Dolphins, as of Saturday, had not shown any interest in free agent Bryant McKinnie, who also has expressed interest in the Dolphins. Miami also has considered a trade for Kansas City tackle Branden Albert.

I just hope Ireland doesnt spend all of the money cuz hes desperate to make something happen this season. I hope hes smart with the money, they've already spent alot of dough on these free agents I guess Id do the rest thru Draft. Get a good CB, good pass rusher, and maybe OL somewhere if still needed. But I hope they dont waste their top 2 picks on like a receiver or even TE. Maybe TE in later rounds, or big strong RB later in rounds. But first 3 picks at least id go defense, speciafically CB, DE..we need a pass rusher along side Wake.

They'd better pick up a runner in FA or draft one because there's not a decent RB on the roster now.

The coaches feel very differently.

I'd be more concerned with corners than RB's at this point.

Yeah, it reminds me of their nightmare of a receiving corps last year.  They thought they had it covered, and they really, really did not.

They didn't think they had it covered. I mean, didn't they say on Hard Knocks that they wanted to cut every single receiver?

uh, no they didn't! Ireland said all they had were #3, 4, and 5  WR's and no #1's

Dunno.  Didn't watch a second of that show.  Still, it's what they decided was the best possible way to go into the season.  They could have addressed the position in some fashion other than Chad Johnson and chose not to, which bit them in the ass all season.  I'd still like them to bring in some speed for that position, too.  Brandon Gibson has an even slower 40 time than Hartline.  This team has lots of route runners, and outside of Wallace, no speed.

They have time to address the RB situation, so I'm not too worried...yet.
