Am I the only one thinking Bill wants Tebow to succeed and will find a way to make it happen? I think old Bill loves to show people he can do things others can't.

I think this is just a matter of Bill kicking the tires on a prospective player, nothing more. If he likes what he sees he'll probably be kept on as the 3rd string QB, if not he'll be released with little fanfare either way.

BB is simply looking at options. If Brady stays healthy, I doubt Tebow ever sees the field, but if Brady misses a couple games for whatever reason, then things change and Mallet will be given his shot, but if he falters or if they just want to try something different, Tebow might see some reps.

Tebow's contract has no guaranteed money. Which tells you what they think of him.
They will keep him around for a bit then cut him lose when they gotta trim the roster with the real football players come September.

They probably did this move so from now till Week 1 they don't have to answer questions about..."Why did ya let Welker go" everyday. Now they will just answer Tebow questions every day then cut him and avoid the Welker drama all preseason.

He was doing non-QB drills in camp.

With Hernadez gone, and Gronk questionable, he could be NE's starting Tight end.

Which makes Belicheat look like a genius once again.

he couldn't catch a pass or play tight end last year in NY. It's only a "genius" move if it works

I'm absolutely ecstatic that Miami might have to cover Tim Tebow rather than Hernandez or Gronkowski. I fail to see how this makes Belicheck look good.

It doesn't yet.

But it might or it might not.  If at the end of the season Tebow is looking as good as Hernadez did, BB will look brilliant.

While the Pats have missed on some players, NE has had more than their fair share of players that did better in NE than elsewhere - Welker, Woodhead, Cassel, Moss if Tebow is added to list BB will look brilliant.

Exactly! I also want to see Tebow block a blitzing Misi or Wheeler.

That statement right there is laughable on every level. If you think Tim Tebow has the potential in one season to be as good a tight end (or even close to as good) as a Pro Bowl caliber/elite tight end like Hernandez you have bought into "TEBOW-MANIA" and lost your mind. You can't be serious! You can't be!!

If it's so friggin easy to just switch positions and play tight end why don't more guys do it? Every failed QB who has a little size should just switch to tight end if its so damn easy! lol Every guy who fails at safety or linebacker...just switch to TE. I mean it's just that easy right?!

Tebow isn't a tight end. Wasn't in college. Wasn't last year in NY. And he won't be now. TE isn't the dummy position where you can just throw anyone there and expect them to pick it up overnight or even in one season and play at an NFL level.
