We have so many options now...

Theoretically the Dolphins could pick from any one of the following:

WR
DE
CB
S
TE
OT
DT

Pretty much the only thing we can be sure of is they aren't going to pick a Quarterback, Running Back or Linebacker in the first round.

Miami should shock the world and go with a long-snapper at #12... Wink

All I know is we better not take an OT at 12. Get the best player available that is a play maker. We can't keep investing first rounders into offensive linemen.

Maybe they shouldnt take an OL but that wouldnt bother me as much as drafting a WR or TE. I know that the talent is there but to me it would seem like a waste of ur top pick. If Miami was to plan drafting a WR or TE then sign/re-sign all those WRs this offseason. We paid top dollar for Wallace, got Keller, Gibbson and resigned Hartline. If anything I hope the Dolphins go for a CB, pass-rusher to play along side Wake, and I guess OL wouldnt be that bad of an idea. Since we got some weapons now for Tannehill now we gotta keep him protected in the pocket. Also since Miami has so many picks in the top 82 that leaves them with plenty of options to get another WR if they need to or one of top 2 CBs, an OL and a solid pass-rusher that should be avaiable in rounds 2-3. But I wouldnt trade up or down since they still have bunch of needs and their picks this year are nicely spaced out to fill any holes they desire. thats just my own opinion.

right....or draft a long snapper or punter Wink

jokes aside I do think Miami should draft a play maker with their #12 pick but not an offensive one but defensive one. Get the best CB, S or DE avaiable. Good pass-rusher would be a huge help to help C.Wake sack Tom Brady.  I dont think its a good idea using the pick esp for a WR...id rather get OL than WR or TE. Esp since we got few WRs and a TE in free agency and also re-signed Hartline. I think they already got their playmakers. If anything draft a TE or WR in later rounds if they wanna create more depth at the position. But because we spent so much money on Wallace, got Keller, Gibson and Hartline back, I wouldnt waste the pick on a receiver. If they planned on drafting a WR with their top pick then they shouldnt have singed so many free agents this offseason.

Something to keep an eye on......Starks is playing under a franchise tag. Soliai is in the final year of his deal. If Miami went DT in Rd 1 because they don't expect Starks or Soliai to be back next year don't be shocked.

And the Fins have meet with the top DT's of this draft and had them in for visits so if one falls I could see Miami grab him

They just signed signed former Utah long snapper Patrick Scales so I doubt that will happen now.   Cheesy

Competition at a rookie minimum.

I wonder if they'll bring in another kicker to do the same thing for Dan Carpenter.  Fact is, if not for Carpenter's missed kicks, this team has a winning record in 2012.

Fact is, if not for Tannehill's incomplete passes, this team has a winning record in 2012.
Fact is, if not for Sean Smith's allowed first downs/TDs, this team has a winning record in 2012.
Fact is, if not for Bush's failures to reach the first down marker, this team has a winning record in 2012.
Fact is, if Hartline catches more than one TD on the year (and does so in the 5 games that MIA lost by 7 points or less), this team has a winning record in 2012.

Why is it only Carpenter's errors that are the difference?

Because you can see at least two times where if he makes his kicks, we win, if I recall. While Tannehill overthrew some deep balls, Hartline drops some passes, and Smith dropped some easy INTs, when it comes down to the last second where you can win it for your team, and you blow it, people remember that.
