If we'd had the new logo last season, this team would have had a winning record...

Take that, bitches...  Wink

Actually the logo itself would have easily cost us two more games....... Tongue

Because you can see at least two times where if he makes his kicks, we win, if I recall. While Tannehill overthrew some deep balls, Hartline drops some passes, and Smith dropped some easy INTs, when it comes down to the last second where you can win it for your team, and you blow it, people remember that.
To clarify, which of these two games are you talking about:

- The game where Carpenter missed a kick early in the 3rd quarter, followed by a Tannehill INT, a Naanee fumble, a Tannehill fumble, and then another Tannehill INT in overtime
- The game where Carpenter missed a kick early in the 4th quarter, followed by the Miami offense gaining a total of 2 yards on the next two series, Carpenter kicking a game-tying FG with 0:15 on the clock, and then missing a 48-yard FG in OT

I don't see any reasonable way to blame both of those games on Carpenter.

Furthermore, by definition, nearly every FG attempt is after the offense has failed to do its job.  So virtually all Carpenter failures come immediately after a failure by Tannehill and/or Bush.

according to Armando the Fins have questions about Lane Johnson's ability

Other rumors out that if Miami trades up they may go big (Top 2 or 3) to get Fisher or Joeckel.

If Armando is accurate, and not just blowin' smoke rings out his poop-chute, then he would appear to be the ONLY person out there who has any questions about Lane Johnson.

Probably academic though, as I highly doubt Lane will last to pick #12...

I think Miami and SD will be looking to trade up high into Rd 1 to get the OT they want. And there are teams without picks in rounds 2,3 and  (Raiders, BRowns) who will be in the market to trade down.

Miami Herald reporting Davone Bess being traded next week could very well happen IF Miami drafts a slot WR in the early rounds.

I don't know how I feel about this. Bees is one of my favorite players, but I see any of the first round WR as potential play makers, while Bess is more of a blue collar player.

Bess is also in the final year of his contract, and having just giving new contracts to Wallace, Gibson, Hartline the odds of Miami giving another vet like Bess a contract appear slim. So if he is going to walk at the end of the year anyway, might as well draft someone and send Bess packing now and get something in return for him

This guy has pretty good info and according to him its down to 3 guys for the Fins...

NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah writes the Miami Dolphins will draft one of Texas S Kenny Vaccaro, Notre Dame TE Tyler Eifert or Alabama G Chance Warmack at 12.

Eifert would be fine with me.

I think Miami has a solid pair of safeties, so Vaccaro's inclusion makes me scratch my head a little.

SS Reshad Jones is 25, and in the final year of his 4-year rookie contract. He had an outstanding season last year...should have been in the pro bowl, imo.
FS Chris Clemons is 27, and playing on the 1-year deal he signed earlier this offseason. Last season was arguably the best of his 4 years in Miami.

I guess Miami would simply be looking to the future with Vaccaro...as Clemons' replacement.  Can't really play all 3 at the same time this year though, so I think I'd rather see that #12 pick address a position where Miami needs a starter "now." This safety class is deep enough that Miami can get a pretty good one in round two. I'd argue that Eifert (whose value at #12 makes me cringe a little) would be more of an impact player this season, and I'd definitely say that Warmack would provide an instant impact.

Clemons is on a 1 year deal. And while I think I read he made like 2 mental mistakes all year (according to the coaches) and almost no missed tackles, he doesn't make enough "impact plays" for their liking.

I don't think they would take Vaccaro but I guess ya never know

I think the Dolphins are just keeping all their options open,See how the top of the first round shakes out.See if the price of a trade up goes down when people are on the clock..If the top of the draft doesn't work out,or the price to trade up is too high, they make the trade for Alberts. Then draft according to our board.....

Just keeping everyone guessing,I actually sort of like the position we're in.We can trade up,down, take someone,or make a trade for Alberts..

Probably wrong,Just my two cents...
