Top 10 Fantasy Rookies for 2013.

That's pretty good for a late 5th round pick and I agree, I can easily see Gillislee stealing carries from Thomas.

Those carries aren't going to be steals. They are going to be givens. Thomas sucks.

I feel a lot better about the backfield now that Gillislee was picked.

Yeah, I'm glad Miami added a RB as well, but still kinda wish it had been Johnathan Franklin. Just a hunch that he's going to turn into a solid NFL runner. Hopefully Gillislee will as well.

I was gun-ho for Thomas when he was drafted, even bought a Thomas Jersey, but I would be surprised if he makes it through training camp.  I can see Miami picking up a cast off RB from another team late in pre-season.

A few words from Gillislee's former coach (who once was a Dolphins defensive coordinator?)

On running back Mike Gillislee: “He was nowhere on the radar at this time last year. Good lateral quickness, can get vertical in a hole quickly. Can play every down, because he can protect. He’s got really good lower body flexibility and good punch and power on all blocks. Tough, hard nosed runner. Gets stronger as the game goes.”

That's nice and I hope its true.  But I gotta laugh when I read comments like these.  When was the last time you heard a former HS or college coach say that his former player sucked, and the team weas a sucker to draft him???

You have a point there, but look how fast Will Muschamp turned the Gators around.  This guy knows how to pick his players.

Gillislee was pretty much all the Gators had on offense last year as the passing game was non-existant.  Everyone keyed on him, and he got harder and harder to stop as the game wore on.  The dude was a monster in the 4th quarter all season long.

some highlights. Best thing I see is not a lot of dancing and he is a north and south runner who when he sees the hole he runs through it hard

I am betting that this kid is the opening day starter.  Thomas will get a concussion and Miller will come in on 3rd downs.

I'll predict he will make the active roster and see significant playing time.   The only reason he fell into the fifth round is because he only had one year to showcase his skills.  He puts up the number he did for the years straight, he's a first rounder
