It is the hall of fame, not "the hall of very darn good."

It's the "Hall of Fame," not the "Hall of the Two Best."

That's what I was thinking too. Regardless of stats, and he has though too, he's been a very good player for a very long time!!

Honestly it's not even up for debate. He is a lock to get in his first time he is up on the ballot.

That's hilarious.  The guy was a 3-time All-Pro (at a position that gets two slots every year) and he's a first-ballot lock?

This is the same HOF that rejected Cris Carter 5 years in a row, is it not?

No idea whether he'll get in on the first ballot, or if they let him in at all...but I definitely believe he deserves to be in there.

I will agree with that.

But the *best* argument that some one ought be in is that he had done more than someone who is already in.

Likewise, the *best* argument not to induct is to list player(s) that did more and aren't in.

statistical accomplishment (40+ ints, 20+ sacks)...the other ones did not do that.  He holds the NFL record for most QB sacks for a DB and most starts. He has more forced fumbles than either the other two. He has more interception return yards than Lott even though he has less INT's.
Barber made the all 2000's team. We will have to see if he makes the all 2010's after the 2020 season.
Let us not forget the 49ers in the 80's had a pretty damn good defense too...maybe not the Ravens at its peak, but Lott did not have to carry the load by himself.
He deserves to be in the HoF along side Lott and Sanders.

Zach Thomas has a better argument and I don't think Zach is getting in.
Looks like I was wrong on both counts!

Congrats to both Ronde and Zach.

Wow Spider ... I didn't even remember this thread. Very cool to bring back up.

i think ronde is a "no" .. not enough . .he wasn't deion .. he wasn't ronnie lott .. he's not getting in
No offense Fau but no one is Deion including Ronnie Lott. That guy was special and if the HOF had an elite status he would be at the top.
