I think you will start seeing Ordick moving inside because Starks and/or Soliai will be gone next year.  Jordan makes that easier to do.

If they franchise tagged Starks then don't start him Ireland should be fired on the spot. Seriously that would be idiotic beyond belief.

Starks and Soliai assuming both are healthy better both be starting.

The D-line is probably the Dolphins' deepest position.  I think you will start seeing Ordick moving inside because Starks and/or Soliai will be gone next year.  Jordan makes that easier to do.

A team that went 7-9 last year has holes, and significant ones at that. You don't use the first and second round draft pick to deepen a position.

Who is talking about him being hurt?  You stated:
You are stating that if he doesn't step in and play every down and make an impact from game 1, he is automatically a bust.  You stated that clearly.

The ridiculous part of it is that you aren't considering the scheme, the depth on the d-line, and the fact that he is injured.  So all of those things would cause you to label him a "bust" before he evens plays 1 down.

Ridiculous. Roll Eyes

Him being injured is one thing.  Him not getting it is another.  From what I saw in the HOF Game, he clearly gets it.  Lets just hope this lingering shoulder problem goes away

They had no edge rusher last year to compliment Wake.  As a result,  Wake drew a lot of double teams.  Pass rusher is a premium position these days as the only real way to stop the pass is to nail the quarterback.

I never said they wouldn't start Starks and Soliai.  I figure they'll rotate Odrick in now and then to get him some inside experience, and see if he can hang in there.

Then his position is not a deep position.

I agree.  They are deep on the interior but not the exterior unless Jordan and/or Vernon develops into a dominant pass rusher.

Are you kidding me?  there are 4 starting-calibur DE's on the team.  Last I saw you can only have 2 on the field at once.

There are now, but there wasn't last year.  Wake was Wake.  But Odrick was a defensive tackle playing defensive end, Jordan was in college, and Vernon/Shelby were not as developed.

^^ more backpedaling.  Your statement above wasn't referring to last season.

Actually yes it was considering it came from all this:

Apparently Jordon re-tweaked his shoulder against the Jags. It could be much later in the season until we actually see him at full strength.

Without weighing into the debate on of how crowded DE is my view is the third overall pick of the draft should be starting week 1.

If you already had 3 quality DEs on the team it is foolish to use the 1st and 2nd round picks to get another.  There are other needs to be addressed.  Or if he is such an improvement over a bunch of bum DEs than he should have no problem starting.  Either way the third pick overall should have an immediate impact on the team or he should have fallen in the draft.

actually No, this was your original point which was laughable

As the third overall pick, he'd better become the next Bruce Smith
