I wanted to show some photos from the game on Friday. Well since i live in Jacksonville, its was a perfect time to go to a game. I had fun even though the first team offense continues to piss me off.

O-line sux ass.  The blind side is totally weak. Tanny gets no freakin protection.

The Uniforms continues to grow on me. Thw White/ WHite combo looks good. I still hate the logo. Even Fin fans at the game were ripping to logo apart. But I was surprise to see a lot of people at the game adopting the new look. I saw New Hats, Jerseys and shirts all over the place. So as much as we hate the new Logo, Its here to stay for a long time I'm afraid.

Oh and I want to say GOODBYE to Dan Carpenter,  That Sturgis kid did a fantastic job kicking. He did well on kickoffs.

Jonas Gray continues to impress.

A big WTF from Matt Moore for that Stupid INT Roll Eyes

Anyways. ENJOY THE PHOTOS   Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Great pictures!

The o-line was terrible to start the game (although Jonathan Martin was playing very well at LT, not really his fault tonight). Rush was up the middle on every play. Tannehill was running for his life on every pass attempt. Samuda was awful the first 3 series. Once they replaced him with Gardner at RG... low and behold Miami goes on an 80 yard scoring drive that ends in a touchdown and Tannehill had time to throw.

Then the coaches left Samuda out there the entire 2nd half....not sure if that was a punishment (ie get him more work because his play was so bad) or just because they were short bodies.

Aside from that nothing noteworthy took place. Nobody got injured and that's all that matters.

Only thing to keep an eye on is if they cut Dan Carpenter this upcoming week or after the next preseason game. Wouldn't be shocked to see if he is gone come Monday or Tuesday.

Cool photos!! Hope you and the family had a great time!!

Not sure what to think about the team honestly but I am running out of patience as far as excuses go. It surely seems we spend a heck of a lot more time figuring out what went wrong than celebrating what went right.

Everytime I see the logo it still makes me think of kids. I might even buy some new things out of necessary but it isn't a proud look or scheme.

I got a feeling that at some point this year or next we are all going to be wishing we had Dan Carpenter back.

Not like Carpenter was great last year. If they wanna roll the dice on Sturgis I don't see it as a big deal

Oh, I'm not saying it's a mistake, just that I think Carpenter is a LOT better then we give him credit for and Sturgis is gonna have a tough act to follow. Won't surprise me a bit if he misses a couple of tough kicks over the next year or 2 and everyone is on openly wondering why we let Carpenter go. Sturgis is talented, there's no question about that, but can he be consistent? We'll see. Carpenter was extremely consistent over the years and unfortunately had a couple bad kicks in a couple games that we could have won and suddenly he's lost it. I get it, I just feel bad for the guy. I wish we could keep both, but I know that's not gonna happen.

He is getting cut because he makes too much money. Only reason. It's a salary cap move. Can knock Ireland for paying Carpenter this much to begin with but either way we cut him now and save a couple mill on the cap. So its a wise move.

Being a kicker is the epitome of a "what have you done for me lately" type of job. How Carpenter kicked in 2009 and 2010 is meaningless. He was poor last year and didn't live up to his contract. Cutting him is removing a bad contract which is always a good thing. If Sturgis stinks he will be gone too but as of now in August of 1013 Sturgis is cheaper and he may be better. So its worth this risk. This is a low risk move cutting Carpenter...just a kicker at the end of the day.

Apparently it's been preseason for many years now.  What exactly have you seen to give you hope either will get better quickly? Tannehill looks like the pressure has gotten to him and the O-line is bad at best. Tannehill didn't even "look" at Wallace once, let alone throw to him, and didn't notice Miller was 1v1 against a LB outside because he didn't look.  It's really hard to keep ignoring critics when they are right and I highly doubt our 2s will get to play other people's 2s.

Different year and same old issues but it's all going to come together in the next three weeks? Cool!

You realize the starters played 1 quarter, they don't gameplan at all, and its just a vanilla offense being called in these games just to get work in. Not to mention this week it was a short week considering they played Sunday night.

You and others are getting too worked up over preseason football.  The games don't count for a reason. It's August 10th for crying out loud.

All of that is also true about the opposing teams defense.

He wasn't poor last year. Actually he was more accurate last year then in 2010 which was his worst year as far as accuracy goes. He only missed 5 FG's last year and 3 of the 5 were from 50+ yards. 40% from 50+ is a little lower then his average. The other 2 he missed were from 40+ but he hit 80% from that range which is above his average. He made everything inside of 40 yards. Some teams would love to get that kind of accuracy from their kicker and probably will once he moves on from the Dolphins. He was very good on kickoffs as well.

Now if you want to argue that he's not worth the money, then that's a least a decent argument, but to say that he kicked poorly last year just isn't the case. He missed a couple of high profile kicks, but statistically he was pretty close to his average.
