Winners:
Tannehill - Little shaky to begin, but 2 big throws to Keller to finish the night was a taste of things to come.
Moore - I was not particularly impressed with Moore in the HOF game, but thought he looked good here except for the INT.
Jonas Gray - Thought he looked good on the 2 TD runs.
Bryan Tyms - Nice catch and run.
Will Davis - Int and knocked down a pass on a blitz.
Richard Marshall - Tight defense.
Caleb Sturgis - 58 yard FG.
Defensive tackling - much better then HOF game.

Losers:
Josh Samuda - I think he was the main culprit for the line problems. Could have been others, I don't really watch the line all that much and sometimes it's tough to determine who really messed up and who didn't.
Chad Bumphis - Shaky on punt returns.
Dan Carpenter - Thought he still had a decent chance of making the team prior to this game as I hadn't been that impressed with Sturgis up to this point, but the 2 FG's were straight down the middle and he's got plenty of leg on both FG's and kickoffs. Combine that with the cost differential, plus the fact you spent a draft pick on him and there's very little reason to keep Carpenter. This is similar to Tannehill starting last year over Moore, if it's close, the rookies ahead.

Samuda the big loser. Practice started a little while ago and Nate Garner is the new starting RG.

Samuda demoted

The Good:

Jonas Gray-  He's making a big case to be kept around as the third running back as he scored twice from a yard out.  The power he displayed is remeniscent of Lousaka Polite.

Caleb Sturgis- Boomed kickoffs out of the end zone and connected on a 58 yard field goal.  Dan Carpenter may as well pack his bags.

Will Davis-  This guy is an interception machine in practice and it showed during this game.  The Dolphins may get a third round steal.

Dustin Keller- Nice catch in tight coverage.  He's the big play tight end this team has been sorely lacking for a while.

Dannell Ellerbe- This guy was all over the place.  He's definitely ready to step out of Ray Lewis's shadow.

The Bad:

Chad "The Hound" Bumphis- Failed to capitalize on his previous standout game.  Was shaky on punt returns and muffed a punt.  Thankfully he didn't lose it.

Ryan Tannehill- One good drive but several shaky ones.  Needs to be more consistent

Lamar Miller- Didn't fumble, but didn't make the most of his opportunities.

The Ugly:

Josh Samuda- See Dallas Thomas in HOF Game

Matt Moore- Stupid stupid stupid interception

^^^ Lamar Miller had 2 carries. What stat line did you expect him to have?! Roll Eyes

And Bumphis played well Friday as a WR whic his all that matters, don't know what your guys are talking about. Yes he dropped a punt but he wasn't going to be the starting punt returner anyways when the games count. So its no big deal. He is looking like he will make the active roster with his WR play

Bumphis has been a pleasant surprise as has Gray. I wonder how many of these RBs they will find a place for.

Of course it's always hard to tell about the back-up back-ups because they aren't playing anyone. I don't know how many pre-season games its the back-ups putting up the numbers.
