I was actually stationed there (in SF) for part of my Army training...when the government was teaching me to fight the actual Commies. This was right after becoming qualified as an expert on the M16A1 rifle (and leveling a building with a turret-mounted .50 cal), and about two years before becoming qualified as expert with the .45 pistol.

So yeah, that's me...the anti-gun Commie. 

My father, mother, and 4 of my 6 siblings were also anti-gun communists who served in the military.
