I am seeing a very good QB in the making.

Two road games to start the season.  591 yards, completing 65.3% of his passes.  A QB rating of 94.2 Eight passes of over 20 yards.  I also saw him eat the ball a couple times and take some smart sacks yesterday.  With the exception of the fumble (which I still don't agree with the call, his arm was moving forward), he took care of the ball.  One pick in two games.

We are seeing a very good progression in our young QB.  Perfect?  Of course not.  Very good growth from our second year QB, better play than we've seen out of this position in a long time?  In my opinion, yes.

I'm very excited about our future with Ryan.

I will go on the record that I did not want him when that drafte rolled around. When it became apparent he was going to be the choice I had to accept it. I am happy to say that I am eating my words and that his progression has been very good. I really like what I am seeing.

I couldn't agree more Maine. The kid is fearless the way he stands in the pocket and doesn't ever get happy feet. He has a Big arm and the accuracy has improved over last year. Smart decisions and is protecting the football.

He will still make some mistakes this year no doubt, but this kid is progressing very well and only getting better. The drive right before the half to get the Fins into field goal range was picture perfect and what you want out of your franchise QB.

I expected to see more Ryan Tannehill from last year, which was better than I expected.  I never expected this.  He has taken a huge step forward as a leader of this team and has impressed me greatly with his play.  Smart throws, smart play, protect the ball.  Good for him.

He deserves the credit he is getting.  He has looked VERY good this season so far.

What I am really happy about is that it doesn't appear to have that plateau yet.  Last year, he had some rookie bumps, but looked pretty OK.  We've seen some of that before with other QBs, too.  However, they weren't able to continue getting better.  The Tannehill we've seen in the first 2 games of this season is better than the one from last year, and that's what makes me excited.

I gotta agree with the consensus here.  What we are seeing is the germanation of a marquee quarterback.  However, the future still looks better than the present

I feel like he has made some throws that we haven't seen since Dan Marino. Definitely not sayng that he is Dan Marino but they are much better than the "game manager" throws we have come to expect.

I was impressed with his ability to find the pocket and to step again (again seeing bits of Marino).  He didn't panic, but adjusted with the pocket to make some nice throws.

As good a Dan Marino = very high bar.

Better than any QB the Dolphins have had since Dan = extremely low bar.

Well it would be very nice to say he is a good as Marino but that list is extremely short. I'll have to settle for better than any of our previous 16 guys for now and just appreciate that for a while.

He made some ridiculous passes. Like the up and over fade route up the seems between the corner and the safety to Hartline was a PERFECT throw. He was money all day. It's been consistent since last year

I like his confidence. He never looks rattled back there, and seems to be developing a really nice pocket presence. I think Miami finally got themselves a winner again at QB.

Now, can they please-please-please get Tannehill some O-line upgrades ASAP?

Would it be fair to say that Tannehill looks as good as Good Jay Fiedler (and not Bad Jay)?

Good Jay never had the arm strength to make the throws.  At the best, he was a 75-80 rating guy.

Ryan has made me realize how ridiculous QB rating is. Tanny doesn't throw a ton of TD's, but his team scores them. Wallace was down at the 1 after a pass. So, 3 more feet and it's a Tanny TD. He didn't make it, so it's a Clay TD. This is why his TD-INT ratio last year was not good, but all of the sabermetric football stats showed him as being a good QB, even better than Flacco.
