America's team

« on: October 01, 2013, 12:17:51 am »

Thorough ass kicking from the Saints. I could only sit and laugh dreaming of a match-up  against that  paper mache defense and dropping about 70 points. Your pixie dust has run out.

I hope you enjoy history this year. There is nothing sweeter than tuning into your team on fox and having them switch 'to a more competitive game' because your team is up by 40 in the 3rd quarter and the other sideline has that look of helplessness.

Enjoy those freebies vs the likes of Geno Smith & EJ Manuel. I fully expect  Miami to be in the playoffs on wildcard weekend. My hope is that they  beat whoever they get that week and come to Denver so they can get throttled. If you thought Dan Marinos farewell 62-7 tour was bad, you aint seen nothing yet.

"The troll, freshly awakened from his Summer snooze, stumbled out of the woods and into the clearing outside the village of Weeping Phin. The children of the village stopped and stared at the creature before them. One little Weeping Phinian girl tugged at her mother's skirt and asked 'Mommy, what is that repulsive and foul smelling beast?' The mother smiled and said "That's just a stinky old troll, darling. They don't come near normal folks often, but there's no need to worry, as they are completely harmless. The troll bellowed a few halfhearted insults at the villagers, picked its troll nose, wiped it on its troll trousers, and wandered back into the woods..."

Good to have you back, DB.  I missed you during the Tebow year.

But, jokes aside, this was a reality check.  We're not good enough to hang with the elite teams.  I expected to get beat down and we played accordingly.  We need a few more years and a few more players.

Thanks for your once-a-year troll post.  No one cares about the Broncos.

I believe I actually stopped in during the Tebow year considering they knocked the defending champions out in the divisional playoffs. Who can forget that glorious play-action pass in overtime? Epic!

There is only one elite team and thats the Broncos. You may have inflated records for teams like Seattle and New England but in the end its smoke and mirrors. The Broncos are throttling teams, not just beating them. The worst thing that happened to the league was that miracle last year. We all know Denver was the best team in 2012. They are on a mission this year - going undefeted.

I agree.  I wish I could've had him in my class back when I taught 12th grade English many years ago.

That's the thing...you don't even need to slay trolls. You just ignore them, and they go away.

I only wish that it worked as well for pudgy plagiarists with dissociative identity disorders... Wink

It will be all the more funny when it happens again this year.  You know Peyton has a knack for choking in the playoffs.

No, his teams just crash around him.  He has very good playoff numbers in his career.
