I use to think everyone just gave him a hard time but what you're saying is actually true!   I had totally forgot about him until the Dolphins lost... I hadn't seen a post from him since last season or off-season.

Guess you missed the 50 or 60 posts since "last season." Everything from the Jets-Pats game, to the Zimmerman thread, to the Gun control thread. Hardly limited to how good/bad Miami performs. -EK

When asked by people what I thought of the Dolphins chances before this game, I said they have improved, but we will not go past first round playoffs, due to the O line giving up too many sacks. We are on pace for 72 sacks.

I deleted several posts already. Please do not make me lock the thread. Keep the topic on Dolphins football.

I'd hate to see Tanny end up like David Carr.

O line is giving up too many sacks but Tanny is part to blame for that also.  He's to comfortable in the pocket and holds the ball too long at times.  He needs that clock and pocket awareness that all the great ones have... I'm not sure how long that will take him to develop.

That is one thing you don't have a long time to learn.  Every sack is a potential season ending injury.  If you are getting sacked 72 times a season, the odds of you having a lengthy career is low.

This weeks game is big for Clabo if he wants to keep his job. 4 sacks in 4 games he has given up and there are rumblings that his job is in jeopardy if not on the line this week if he doesn't play well.  Thank god he is only on a one year deal. He clearly has hit the wall and we are stuck with another "Marc Colombo" older type at RT this season with him unfortunately.

This team struggles with pass protection.  There is no dobut about that.  However, Tannehill isn't doing anyone any favors by running into sackers or holding on to the ball too long.  He seems to have very poor pocket awareness at times.  This issue gets compounded when the line is like a sieve.

He can improve pocket awareness no dobut but the right side of the o-line has been awful. And with Dion Sims missing blocks as well the blocking up front has just been a train-wreck. Jon Jerry stinks and is getting worse. Before he was a solid pass blocker and a poor run blocker...now he is just poor all around. Clabo is just old. He lost it overnight. It's a fine line between veteran and being old.....he is now just old and slow. He is the FA signing that has been the biggest disappointment by far because he has actually down-graded the position from last year.

Martin is fine, not great, not awful... but good enough and improving each week at least. Pouncey is fine. Incognitio is a journeymen who is nothing special by any means, but Clabo and Jerry flat out suck!

And look what has been invested into this offensive line.  Two first round picks, a second round pick and a third round pick.  And it still sucks.

actually 2 third round picks. Jerry and Thomas both 3rd rounders.

I think a year from now Thomas is starting at one of the guard positions or right tackle. He needed a year in an NFL weight program to bulk up
