...if he isn't on his back more than a $20 whore.

Our O-line is going to get this kid killed.  Watched the game with three Pats fans today.  I started to say things like "he is holding the ball too long."  Even they said "are you nuts?  No one could get rid of that quick, your line sucks hair bag sacks."

I have to agree.

Pouncy is the only player on the o-line worth a damn. Incognito manages to hold his own most of the time, but Martin isn't left tackle material and John Jerry is still John Jerry. Clabo is... garbage. He'll do reasonably well for a play or two and make you think he can play, but then he'll suck it the rest of the game. He's just not even remotely starter material.

Props to our running backs for actually making a couple of blocks today. Don't think they had a hand in any of the sacks.

I agree with you Maine.  Yes, our O-line sucks but Tannehill doesn't do himself or the team any favors.  He stares receivers down and doesn't seem to get the ball out in a reasonable amount of time.

agree with this nonsense that some of the sacks are Tannehill's fault, that is becoming silly. Maybe 1 or 2, in the first 5 games ok. But to expect him to just throw it away when he has zero time and sometimes less than zero time is silly. It is easier said than done to say....he needs to just throw it away.

I am very happy with Tannehill's play. He is a 2nd year guy with pretty much all new receivers and he is playing very well. He is far from perfect, but he also leads the NFL in sacks because of our O-Line. He can get rid of the ball quicker sometimes, but if he does it will just be incomplete. He holds onto the ball because no one is open.

We just have to call for more bootlegs and shotgun formations. Look at our rushing stats if you want to see where to place the blame.

If you can't block, you can't win. Its that simple. Richmond Webb, Keith Sims, Jake Long, Dwight Stevenson, & Larry Little are not walking through that door. Personnel wise, they have what they have for this season. So either these people learn how to block as a unit, or expect more of the same.

I'd personally like to see Tannehill avoid the rush by staying mobile.  He tends to sit in the pocket until the rush gets to him and then duck and protect the ball.

Which is OK - we don't need him fumbling it away.

But, I've seen opportunities for him to step up or take a step to the side and have more time.  Or heaven forbid he should scramble for a few yards.  I am sick of seeing him curl up into the fetal position the moment a defender gets within 3 feet of him.

It will be incredibly ironic if the epitaph for Jeff Ireland reads, "He didn't invest enough in the offensive line."

I'm not sure how Brandon Albert and Lane Johnson are doing so far, but the decision to get neither of them is looming pretty large right now.  Particularly since Jamar Taylor (the player Miami selected with the pick KC wanted for Albert) has yet to see the field.

This isn't to say that Dion Jordan has been bad, and maybe he has offset some of the impact of Wake's injury.  But at the end of the day, Miami needs to fix the OL or it will cost Ireland his job.

Jamar Taylor was on the field a lot yesterday.

However, reports are that Lane Johnson has been getting mauled, despite being a top OL this draft class.  Can't say much for Albert, though, as I haven't watched.

Johnson has been bad, plus he is playing right tackle not left. Jockel in Jax also playing right tackle was injured off and on and wasn't playing great before the latest injury and now is out for the entire season. He was a disappointing early in the season. Fisher has also been injured and not playing well and also playing on the right side and not left tackle. All 3 of the tackles have had a rough go early in their careers and none are playing LT

Miami might have been right to avoid them all even with our bad o-line and go with Jordan who is getting better each week. Miami messed up by NOT making the Brandon Albert trade. Huge mistake by Ireland.

Apparently Greg Cote in the Miami Herald feels the same way you do.

If this line continues to allow Tanny to get his and it costs this team a winning season/playoff spot, it's a safe bet that Ireland's out the door.

^^disagree. If they haven't fired Ireland yet (and this summer they actually gave him a 1 year extension)....a bad o-line won't get him fired. Ireland is made of teflon!!!

Will take more than a poor o-line to get him fired. Ross obviously loves the man.

^^ Agree with Mike here.  You and your cronies are looking for a reason to fire him.  You can't overlook 8 good moves and cite one bad move to fire him.
